Ok I have been a fan of Disney since I was about 5. In my time I grew up watching the likes of Aladdin,Pocahuntas The Little Mermaid(released in 1989), The Lion King, Tarzan and of course Beauty and the Beast which was made when I was 6 months old lol. What I like about the past Disney movies is that each story that goes with the movie is usually centered on our lives. For Example:

1# Pocahuntas: Indian Princess falls for sailor while her father doesn't like him.

Reality part to it: Falling for someone from a different background e.g Jewish,Traveller etc.

#2 TLM: Mermaid falls for human while her father doesn't like human's as he thinks there barbarians.

Reality side to it: You can fall for whoever and just be happy.

#3. Beauty and the Beast:

A french girl stays in an enchanted castle guarded by a beast and they fall for each other.

Reality side to it: It doesn't matter if your ugly or not ,your personality says it all.

Now here is my outing on today's disney movies.

I think that Disney has lost that magical feeling in their movies as its all refered like movies or HSM or Hannah Montana.

The only present film that I thought was very good was of course Enchanted. And here's why:

1. Love can happen in reality and fiction
2. You don't have to marry someone in a day
3. Go with your heart.
Disney's Best Movies for Songs

This is an article which sums up the results of the three Disney related songs countdowns. Each countdown was for a different "era". Here are the timezones of each era:

"Walt's Era"- 1937-1967 (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-The Jungle Book)
"Pre-Renaissance Era"- 1970-1988 (The Aristocats-Oliver and Company)
"Renaissance Era"- 1989-1999 (The Little Mermaid-Tarzan)

Hi all,

My family are massive Disney fans and we recently embarked on a marathon of the Disney canon. We're currently as far as The Three Caballeros and here is my review of the first animated classic (I'm also posting these reviews on my blog disneydad2.blogspot.com).

A Disney Tale: A young princess narrowly avoids death on the command of her evil stepmother. She shacks up with a group of mining dwarves but the stepmother finds her and puts her to sleep with a poisoned apple. The dwarves put her inside a glass coffin until a prince comes and kisses her, releasing her from the spell to live happily...

Ah, the question that everyone who has stumbled upon this spot has surely asked themselves. It's been asked in poll form multiple times. There have been many discussions on the subject.

The spot motto defines a Disney Classic as "anything before the Pixar era", making the cutoff 1996, when Toy Story premiered.

Most of the picks/polls about the subject have Pocahontas (1995) or Tarzan (1998) in the lead.

Some fans believe that only the films on the official list of Disney Animated Classics are true classics.

Truth is, there is no definite answer, because a Disney Classic means something different...
