Aladdin (Aladdin)
Aladdin is portrayed as clever, and ultimately a good-hearted person. Like most Disney male protagonists, he is a brave young man who seeks to win the affection of many other characters, which demonstrates his insecurity. He can be selfish and indignant at times, which is shown through the wishes he makes. He is not above lying and stealing, but never with evil intentions, but in order to survive. The biggest difference from the norm is that, unlike most youthful Disney heroes, he is a doer rather than a passive character

Arthur (The Sword in the Stone)
Arthur is nicknamed "Wart", and is the main protagonist of the film. He is Disney's adaptation of legendary British leader King Arthur. Arthur is a 12-year-old orphan training to be a squire, accompanying his older foster brother Kay on a hunting trip, accidentally prevents Kay from shooting a deer. He goes to retrieve the arrow, and falls into Merlin's cottage. Merlin announces he will be his tutor, and the two return to Arthur's home, a castle run by Sir Ector.

Beast (Beauty and the Beast)
Disney's variant of the tale, the Beast originally appeared to be constantly angry and depressed. As opposed to his original counterpart, the creators gave him a more primal nature to his personality, which truly exploited his character as an untamed animal. After the Beast saves Belle from a pack of wolves, his dress-style changes, reflecting a more refined personality. His dress style becomes more disciplined, and the most referenced form of dress is his ballroom outfit, which consisted of a golden vest over a white dress shirt with a white kerchief, black dress pants trimmed with gold, and a navy blue ballroom tail coat trimmed with gold, worn during the film's ballroom dance sequence. Upon his reform under his love interest Belle, his personality changes to refined, but naive about the world at the same time. Supervising animator Keane describes The Beast as "a twenty-one-year-old guy who's insecure, wants to be loved, wants to love, but has this ugly exterior and has to overcome this."

Edward (Enchanted)
A narcissistic and athletic prince who ends up confused with the world of New York once entering it. Edward is a prince in Andalasia and the stepson of Narissa. He is "very pure, very simple-minded and naive, but innocently narcissistic."

Eric (The Little Mermaid)
It is revealed through dialogue between him and his man-servant that Eric has turned down at least one princess for a prospective bride, as he is still looking for the right girl. When a storm hits, everyone manages to escape to the lifeboat except for Eric, who swims back to save his dog, Max. In the process he almost drowns, but he is saved by Ariel. She drags him to shore and sings to him, but before he can regain consciousness fully, Max and Grimsby arrive, forcing Ariel to dive underwater. When Eric is seen again, he is haunted by Ariel's voice, and has been searching the kingdom for her. When he crosses paths with Ariel again, she has traded her voice for legs, and though he initially finds her familiar, her lack of a voice makes him think that she cannot be the girl who rescued him. However, he brings her back to his palace and they spend time together. During a boat ride, the two come close to kissing, but Floatsum and Jetsum intervene by tipping over their boat. Later on, Grimsby advises Eric to forget about his "dream girl", and focus on the one "warm, caring, and right before his eyes".

Flynn Rider (Tangled)
The ultra-confident Flynn Rider (also known as "Eugene Fitzherbert") is his own biggest fan, and he has long relied on his wit, charm, and good looks to get out of even the stickiest situation -- and Flynn's life just happens to be full of sticky situations. Flynn is a thief looking for the one last, big score that will allow him to finally live the life he's always dreamed of. He's never been closer to having it all when he meets Rapunzel, an odd girl with ridiculously long hair. Rapunzel seems to be the only girl in the world immune to Flynn's moves, and for the first time ever he seems to have met his match. An unlikely alliance with this girl from the tower sends Flynn on the adventure of a lifetime, and helps him realize that sometimes you don't know what you want...until it hits you on the head...literally.

Hercules (Hercules)
Hercules was born on Mount Olympus with all the powers of a god, and his parents were Zeus and Hera (the King and Queen of all the gods, thus making him a god prince), who has been reimagined as a loving mother instead of a spiteful stepmother. On the celebration of his birth, during which the Olympian gods present the infant god with a multitude of gifts, although one god is not happy about the new arrival: Hercules's evil uncle, who is lord of the Underworld.

Jack Skellington (The Nightmare Before Christmas)
Jack is the "Pumpkin King" of Halloween Town and lives in a fictional world based solely on the Halloween holiday. His usual appearance is a skeleton dressed in a black pin-striped suit and a bow tie resembling a bat, but there are some points in which he dresses as a scarecrow with a pumpkin for a head. His name is a pun on skeleton. He has a pet ghost dog named Zero, who has a small glowing nose that looks like a Jack-o'-lantern. His love interest is Sally, a rag doll created by Dr. Finklestein.

Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet)
As a little boy, he admired stories of the legendary space pirate, Captain Flint. Jim felt guilty after hearing his mother discuss her troubles with Dr. Doppler. Then, Jim found a crashing spacer named Billy Bones who had a special chest that contained something a mysterious cyborg was after.

John Smith (Pocahontas)
John is the love interest of Pocahontas. He is the only one of the English settlers in the Jamestown Settlement willing to befriend the natives due to his love and learning to accept other cultures from Pocahontas.

Kenai (Brother Bear)
Kenai was a young Inuit on the verge of becoming a man. But after his brother Sitka died saving him from a bear, Kenai decided to kill the bear at all costs. He succeeded, but for acting out of hate rather than out of love as he had been commanded to do, the spirits turned Kenai himself into a bear as punishment for his actions. The only way for him to become human again was to travel to a mountain peak called, "the place where the (Northern) lights touch the earth." Along the way, however, Kenai met an orphaned bear named Koda. At first Kenai did not like the young bear's company, but eventually he became attached to him. Then Kenai learned that the bear he had hunted and killed had been Koda's mother. When he becomes human again, Kenai chose stay a woods and live with Koda, who needed him more than any of his own people. First this act of love, Kenai was declared to have become a man.

Kuzco (The Emperor's New Groove)
Kuzco is very self-centered, thinking that everyone should be put below him, because he is "Emperor".
One day in the throne room, after firing Yzma for taking his place, Kuzco summons Pacha, an overweight peasant to tell him that he's building his summer home, Kuzcotopia, on the site of Pacha's home, thus rendering Pacha and his family homeless. Pacha is then dismissed by Kuzco's personal guards. In the Secret Lab, Yzma and her lackey, Kronk then attempt to kill Kuzco as revenge of getting fired. However, the attempt is flawed as the supposed poison turns out to be extract of llama. She then orders Kronk to knock out Kuzco, take him out of town, and finish the job. Taking the llama's body to the city, conscience-stricken Kronk loses the sack holding Kuzco. Kuzco ends up in Pacha's village, and after discovering that he has been changed, demands that Pacha help him return to the palace. Rebuffed, Kuzco attempts to return on his own and ends up surrounded by a pack of jaguars, only to be saved when Pacha has a change of heart. Kuzco and Pacha now must work together to get back to the palace and change Kuzco back. Kuzco is initially portrayed as a spoiled, selfish, cocky, rude, sarcastic teenager, albeit with a sense of flair and pizazz.

Mad Hatter (Alice in Wonderland)
The Mad Hatter is seen when Alice wonders off in the forest and the Cheshire Cat tells her to visit them for directions back home. Alice visits but in the middle of a very odd Tea Party with the March Hare, The Mad Hatter and the Doormouse. The Mad Hatter and March Hare are singing A Very Merry Unbirthday but is interrupted when Alice starts to clap. First The Mad Hatter and March Hare are upset because Alice was not asked to join but become pleased when Alice explains to them that she enjoyed their singing and they welcome her to join. As Alice tries to explain The Mad Hatter and March Hare try to change the subject. Soon the party is once again interrupted by the White Rabbit. Alice tries to conversant with him but Mad Hatter and March Hare gets him on the run. The Disney movie suggested the reason for the many cups was that every day was an 'Unbirthday', when in fact in the books it was because the Mad Hatter had argued with his friend Time, and it was now always six o'clock, time for tea. He is later seen at the court scene. The Mad Hatter is known as a witness along with the March hare and Dormouse.

Milo (Atlantis: The Lost Empire)
Milo James Thatch was born in 1882 to British parents whom he lost early in his childhood. After their passing, he was adopted by his grandfather, Thaddeus Thatch, with whom he was very close. When Milo was young, Thaddeus often told Milo stories of the lost continent of Atlantis, which was supposedly sunk beneath the Atlantic Ocean following a cataclysmic disaster. Milo was fascinated by these stories, and in life made it his personal goal to prove the existence of the legendary city.

Mowgli (The Jungle Book)
Mowgli is a human child, who was found as a baby by Bagheera, a black panther. Apparently orphaned, Mowgli was raised by a pack of wolves until he was 10 years old. However, the threat of Shere Khan forces the pack to send him away, and Bagheera decides to take him to a nearby man-village for his protection. Mowgli is shown to be adventurous and rebellious. At the same time, he is fairly naive about the dangers of the jungle. He is shown to love having fun, and is trusting and friendly. In the first film, his naivete is taken advantage of frequently by animals like Kaa and King Louie, who each have their own agendas. This leads Mowgli to become cynical and distrusting of others. However, a run in with the vultures, as well as a later rescue by Baloo, show him that there are people who genuinely care.

Prince Naveen (The Princess and the Frog)
Naveen is a handsome, exotic prince from the far-off country of Maldonia. He is a charming, gregarious man who has a problem with responsibility. Recently cut off by his parents because of his gallivanting ways, he is looking to somehow maintain his lavish lifestyle while avoiding having to actually work for a living. Through his relationship with Tiana, Naveen discovers inner nobility he never knew he had.

Peter Pan (Peter Pan)
Peter Pan is the very spirit of youth, and the main protagonist from Disney's theatrical animated movie Peter Pan. Peter traveling from the enchanted isle of Neverland all the way to London just to hear Wendy Darling spin tales about him and his adventures. While his ego may seem inflated at times, even his arch-nemesis, Captain Hook, knows that Pan's no ordinary boy. He can fly without wings and match Hook's cutlass with nothing more than a dagger. He's also the undisputed leader of the Lost Boys and allows no breaks in ranks. Time makes little difference to him; when you never grow up, life is nothing but fun, whimsy, and adventure.

Phillip (Sleeping Beauty)
Philip is known to be brave and heroic. On the other hand, he appears to be fairly easygoing. At times, he is able to subtly persuade people to do as he wants. Examples include Philip bribing his horse with food so that he could find the source of the singing he heard, and manipulating his father into agreeing that he should marry the girl he loves rather than the princess he is betrothed to. Philip has brown hair and dark eyes (his eye color is hard to distinguish due to the animation style of the film). He appears to be several years older than Aurora, as he was a young child while she was still an infant. Philip is generally seen wearing a tan tunic over a black shirt, with brown pants and boots. He also is seen wearing a red cape and hat at times.

Phoebus (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
A man who returns to Paris to be Captain of the Guard under Judge Frollo. He falls in love with (and later marries) Esmeralda. He is an idealist with integrity and does not approve of what Frollo thinks or does; also, he is shown in a more heroic sense than in the book.

Pinocchio (Pinocchio)
Pinocchio is a character from the 1940 film of the same name. He is a living puppet who must prove himself worthy to become a real boy, with the help of Jiminy Cricket as his conscience.

Prince Charming (Cinderella)
In the first film The King throws a welcome ball and all females shall attend so the Prince can find a mate. Cinderella attended and Prince Charming quickly thought she was beautiful. Prince Charming and Cinderella waltz on the floor and had a romantic date while singing to each other. When the clock tower stroke twelve Cinderella had to go without explaining why. The Grand Duke tried to stop her but was unlucky. Prince Charming ordered the Grand Duke to find her he eventually did and Prince Charming married Cinderella and they lived happily ever after.

The Prince (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
As Snow White works, she sings I'm Wishing, attracting the attention of the Prince, who is passing by. As she sings into the well, performing a duet with her echo, she is startled as the Prince suddenly joins in. She runs indoors, and watches from a balcony as he sings One Song. The two are infatuated with each other. Watching from above is the Queen, who angrily closes the curtains of her window in jealousy.

Quasimodo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
The hero of the film, a courageous and enthusiastic character. He is the bellringer of the Notre Dame Cathedral. He is physically deformed with a hunched back and is constantly told by his guardian Judge Claude Frollo that he is an ugly monster who will never be accepted by the world outside. However, the opening song asks listeners to judge for themselves "who is the monster, and who is the man" of the two.

Shang (Mulan)
Shang is a Chinese army captain. During his appointment in the first movie, is a highly capable leader with a dedication to his cause to match, albeit at times being too "by-the-book" and putting his duty above his feelings, in contrast to Mulan. He is often called a 'Pretty Boy' due to his dashing good looks and strong physique. He is reserved and thoughtful, a more logical and calming influence to Mulan's vivacious and reckless personality. Shortly after his initial introduction in Mulan, Shang is appointed newly as an army captain, by his father who is a general. Later through the film, he becomes friends with Ping (who is Fa Mulan disguised as a man), after his life is saved by him/her. Shortly after, however, he finds out she is actually a woman, which is forbidden by the empire's law, punishable by death. After sparing her life, and later helping her save the empire, he and she become love interests to each other with the closing of the film.

Taran (The Black Cauldron)
Taran is headstrong and courageous, though occasionally foolhardy, and harbors an intense desire to prove his worth and heroism through noble acts. Indeed, much of the movie centers on Taran's search for his own worth. Taran was a foundling discovered by Dallben, the enchanter and farmer. As Taran grew up, he became restless and longed for adventures beyond the borders of Caer Dallben. His time would eventually come when, just after being granted the position of Assistant Pig Keeper for Hen Wen, Dallben's oracular pig, the animal escapes her enclosure. Taran follows her and soon finds himself caught up in an epic struggle that will determine the fate of the land of Prydain. During his adventures he meets (and eventually falls in love with) the beautiful Princess Eilonwy. With her help, he helps to free the ancient, magical sword Dyrnwyn from King Rhitta's tomb, an event that will set in motion the war that could bring about the defeat of the Horned King. Taran is assisted in his quest by many friends, including the self-styled Bard Fflewddur Fflam, the shaggy creature Gurgi, and the stalwart dwarf warrior Doli.

Tarzan (Tarzan)
Tarzan is a young man raised by his ape mother Kala. He doesn't know anything about how to be human, and is mistreated by the other apes around him for his different appearance. We meets a lovely girl named Jane, and learns more about humans and how to communicate.
