As I`ve said before: You should write the scene you mean. I would do other thing in 'Colors of the Wind' scene, for example, than the thing in other scene.
maybe adding an extra scene about kokum but the scene would be about trying to make him smile or laugh at least and if he doesn't crack,then they can just add the next scene when Pocahontas runs through the corn fields and thats when her friend stops her and said that she lied for once but it was just a thought
