CL fails to make the cut for official list of \'TIME\'s 100 Most Influential People in the World\'

It has recently been announced that 2NE1\'s CL unfortunately did not make the cut for \'TIME\'s 100 Most Influential People in the World\' list despite placing high in the viewers\' poll.

Vladimir Putin, in this year\'s \'TIME 100 Reader\'s Poll,\' heightening the anticipation for her appearance in the official list. 

The final list included artist Kanye West and Taylor Swift, as well as leaders like Kim Jong Un and Hillary Clinton.

According to TIME, they produce the list every year in hopes that they will introduce the readers to influential people you might not have met before. TIME editors choose their annual official list based on online poll results. 

Meanwhile, CL was the third Korean singer to be nominated for the list after Rain and

Psy. While Rain made it onto the final list twice in 2006 and 2011, Psy failed to do so in 2013.

I still don\'t get why musicians are even included in this list. The contributions of musicians is not influential enough that they should even be consider for this list. Maybe if they were a legend the like of Micheal Jackson I could understand, but the likes of Kenya West, Taylor Swift, or even Rain in the past is just ridiculous. So it was pretty obvious that CL wasn\'t gonna make it. It is sad because for a list that is suppose to list the "100 most influential people" some of the people who actually made the list shouldn\'t even be there, which makes this whole list laughable.

That was the right thing to do.  It takes more than a bunch of fans having super poll voting powers to make an artist influential.

i get what people were trying to do by voting for her, but seriously she hasn\'t made a big impact on anything or anyone. It this american debut succeeds, then maybe in a couple years she might make it but right no there\'s no chance she would have gotten on it

I\'m just thankful for the fans who supported her. The power of KPOP. But to be honest, she IS popular and has various connections in Hollywood but that doesn\'t make her as one of the most influential stars in the world... For now, it is right that she didn\'t make the cut.

I love CL and yg overall but seriously guys slap yourself with a fish if you really thought she was going to make the list.

Lol CL such a fail. But seriously, only retards will think she\'s a top 100 influential person in the world.  CL solo actives in the states whenever that is, will end up just like this, a fail.

I\'m not surprised that she didn\'t make it, she doesn\'t have a huge impact on fashion or music, really. Or K-pop. I mean come on, her rapping skill isn\'t even that good.

If she had made it, great. It she didn\'t, whatever. I still love her either way. :)

The point of voting is for to see how blackjacks support her no matter what where and when. She might not make it but to us she\'s always the Queen leader. And it\'s funny how haters comment so fast as if they\'re waiting for this news for years... lol

Well... Being #2 in reader\'s poll is not THAT BIG issue. People seems to forgot but, Rain was in actual editor\'s list 2 times: "While Rain made it onto the final list twice in 2006 and 2011" And also until his military (2011) he is the only asian that made into the reader\'s poll 6 consecutive years!

As a Bj I\'m not surprised she did not make it. If she did that would have been extremely weird honestly O-O Honestly I\'m actually happy that she was able to reach second place in the voting this alone is a great boost to make people know about her and kpop in general ;) That aside I\'m more surprised that kim jong un , kim and kayne made it lol like wtf XD What about emma watson??SHE deserves to be in here!

If she did ALOT of people would have things to say about it so maybe this is for the best?

Well damn. Thats disappointing. But she doesnt need to be on a list for people to see just how amazing CL is.

It was nice to see her nominated, but I doubt that she would make the actual list.

I love 2NE1 but she didn\'t really deserve to be in the list. I don\'t even know why they bother having people vote.

I always felt that K Pop had better representatives than CL. Like someone who could actually sing....
