Even if you are planning to get married it is still a major sin!

@ColieAnne91 Yes, a sin is a sin.

I don't think it's a sin, but it is not a good idea to do this because the marriage may not come through. Also, some may get engaged just so they can take further actions. Waiting until marriage would be ideal. If you've waited this long and are about to get married, you can wait a few more months.

I don't believe in what the bible says. The bible was not written by God.

It wasn't WRITTEN by Him but He is the real author since the Bible is His words written by humans in the name of the Lord.

Sex before marriage is like opening the big present before Christmas!

And I really don't get the "experience" argument, either. I mean, if you're REALLY serious about marrying this person and staying faithful for life, well hello! You've got the whole rest of your lives to practice, lovebirds! *winkwink* *nudgenudge* =P

^ Lol. I agree with that.

I don't see why people can't just be patient and wait until marriage, because, as DearHeart said, they have their whole lives to do it. It's not urgent or anything.

@Schnusch, if don't believe in the Bible, why are you here?

I think you should save yourself for marriage. It makes it so much more special then. It's the ultimate gift you can give your husband/wife.

@Sarabeara, I'm an Atheist, I don't believe in the bible. I'm here to try and better my understanding of the Christian faith.

Poseidon3 and Chaan94, to clarify for you. According to the Bible, when a married person has sex with someone besides their spouse, it's adultry. Sex before marriage is fornification. Scripture is clear that both are sins.

Sex is a gift of God to married couples, almost married isn't enough. marriage is a sacred vow you make to the other person, and to God.
