Is getting a psychic reading/palm reading a sin?

God is God above all other gods. Any powers outside of God are of the devil. If this psychic is a prophet/prophetess of God, that's a different story, but if this person is simply asking the "spirits" that he/she doesn't know much about, then they as well as you are playing with fire. If you want answers, you should ask God and perhaps seek counsel from a brother or sister in Christ. There are no other shortcuts my friend. Hope that helps.

I think it's better to stay away from that type of thing. Generally the are two types of people of are involved with that types of thing. The first are fakes who tell you what they think you want to hear. There are also some who listen to spirts, (aka demons) that may give a little truth to help you swallow a big lie. Their purpose is to take your sight off of God and onto other things.
Typically, a true prophet or prophetess, would hear direct from God, and would not have to touch you, read cards or stars. They just say what God tells them.

No, getting a reading isn't sinful at all. If you believe it has power and/or meaning, then it is sinful.

If you gonna do it dont show off any money. leave your purse in the car. if she charges you $100.00 tell her you only have $20.00 try too hustle your way down. she will settle for it. they have to pay bills.

I just stay away from that. I was brought up with a metaphysical aunt and they drug me around places and were open to just about anything: astrology -getting chars done and read, numerology, targot cards...

Actually it is in the Bible about soothsayers and divination (which is purposefully foretell the future). I am sorry I cannot quote or tell you where to find or properly direct you. The Bible also talks about the devil being 99% truth at times and 1% lie in order to deceive or lure (as the father of lies he is good at that art). The Bible talks about false prophets saying that you should test the spirits against the word of God and if someone is incorrect even once - they are false & if a person is from God/of God then what they tell will never go against any of God's character or word.

Depends on how you define 'sin.' If you define it as 'anything the bible says is wrong' than yes. But then you should be sure to never back-sass your parents, never wear clothes made of two kinds of material, never eat sea-food or pork, never argue, never baptize babies (or go to the baptism of a baby, because then you're abetting), and be sure to always help the needy.

If you're not comfortable getting a palm reading, don't get one. If you can justify getting one (like you justify many of the things you do that I mentioned above), and you want one, then get one.

If you believe or not, I never charge for my readings, the Answers don"t come from me to begin with. If you personally think its sinful. Then do yourself a favour and don"t do it.

Both tradtions are very original not to discredit any other religion or race all respect to any other other religion or ethnicity I can only speak from my point of view I respect my elders which I was taught from the get go I had no other choice if not u don't eat struggle is real for some us, not all are blessed with money 💰 love ❤ or understanding or good parents I still respected my religion and ethnicity. We were taught we should not know the future God will lead us . I grew up as Catholic which I heard and learned not all Catholics are Saints which I took pretty hard but I do still believe in God forget the people who take gods name in and use it to their advantage that's why I dont let my children go to catechism by theirselves im very overprotective because what I experienced God can't save u from everything but ones u believe and pray 🙏 he will do what he can he was human like all us

I am just as religious as the next guy and also a catholic not like that matters, any way i wouldn't advise it because the bible claims it as a sin but my theory on this though is technically speaking it shouldn't be though because Jesus had the ability to heal and gave this ability to his 12 apostles though. hear me out though i also read that psychics have the ability to ease pain though so if you ask me it shouldn't be a sin but because the bible says it is then i wouldn't advise it like i said earlier. bless everyone day and heart and amen.
