I LOVE both but I definitely prefer Kiara. The reason for that is because when Kiara knows her pride and her kingdom is in danger, she will immediately go to help and put their needs ahead of her own. Simba on the other hand knew that everything was destroyed, there was no food, no water, and everyone would starve and he says he can't go back. It wasn't until he talked to the spirit of his father and Rafiki that he decided to go back after basically telling him to grow a spine. I love Simba but that always did bother me and is why I've always preferred Kiara.

Simba's overprotectiveness in the sequel made me dislike him, actually. He keeps Kiara from even learning how to hunt, which is presumably a valuable skill.
