This year (2015) Warner bros announced the the 10th Anniversary of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory here a some promotions that will be released!!!
Universal Studios will open a Willy Wonka attraction park includng the houses of the 5 golden ticket winners , the candy shop (where real Wonka bars as seen in the 2005 movie can be bought), the toothpaste factory, the chocolate factory, gift shop, and fans will meet the stars of the film and get pictures and autographs.
Conan O' Brien, George Lopez, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Jay Leno, and David Letterman will each interview the cast members and show clips on their talk shows.
Cartoonnetwork.com's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory game will return.
Various Stores (Target, Wal-Mart, K Mart, Toys R Us, etc.) will sell toys, Wonka goggles, cards, Wonka Bars, donuts and Wonka Cupcakes.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be re-released in theaters with the option of seeing in 3D (with glasses based on the TV room goggles) and tv spots old and new will air. (A/N: The movie being re-released in 3D with TV room 3D goggles wasn't my original idea , but someone else's)
Nickelodeon will announce a sweepstakes where fans can join the cast members in seeing the re-release and win prizes.
Hot Topic and Spencer's will sell new shirts of the movie (including Mike's skull shirt).
Halloween Costumes of Willy Wonka, the Oompa Loompas and now the kids will be released in October 2015.
A Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition Blu-ray will be released with features including Tv Spots, Cast on VH1, Nicksclusive, What if everything was made by Willy Wonka commercials?, Sweet Memories interviews, a 32-page book, a golden ticket in each copy and more.
In December 2015, an ornament that plays a Christmas sounding version of the Willy Wonka song will be released and a 2016 calendar filled with pictures familar and rare will be too.
A remake of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory video game will be made for Wii U, Wii, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS. The game itself will be updated as well.
