Cats Question

Please help, my cat is really sick & we think he may be dying

Hello Please help advise me what I can do- sorry it's long, but I'm really scared.
For the past few days my 14 yr cat Merlin has been really sick, my mom thinks he's dying.
On the 25th my cat was behaving strangely & kept going up the attic & places he doesn't normally go, & later mom found drips of blood in his bed. The next day there was more- blood spattered up the wall like it had been sneezed there & it was coming from his mouth, my mom called the vet. Next day the blood was all hanging out his mouth, lots of it but he wasn't vomiting. so we took him to the vet & they couldn't work out what it was. There's the possiblity of it coming from his throat or stomach, & I'm terrified its his stomach because today he's not eating, drinking or pooping/peeing & he just sits there not wanting to be disturbed. but he doesn't seem to be in pain as such. He had a painkiller & a appetite-encouraging injection the other day.

Although the blood as stopped, my main concern is he just sits by the radiator- he's quite cold to the touch. My main concern is he's not eating, drinking, peeing or pooing today, he won;t touch food. My mom says he may have to be put down before he starvs himself to death... what can I do?? he's going to the vets later today

Ouch...that doesn't sound good! My Snoopy is 15, I lost my other cat to a kidney disease. So the one thing I do know is cats never show their pain...your little kitty may need an xray to make sure there's nothing in his

I don't know what's wrong with your cat but maybe it's cause he has eaten animals who were too big for his mouth and now they are stuck? I had a cat who died in the most disappointing way all he did was going outside and lying on the grass and did nothing and we knew he was sick but when we had a time at the hospital he was gone.

Oh okay. Thanks, I've actually lost 4 cats so it's not the first time. First one was before I understood how to treat one and it just didn't like us. The next didn't come back but after we moved to another place he was found and had actually become a vild cat but he didn't like that we had 2 other cats at first but they became friends but even so he disappeared. The female got 2 kittens but one of them died and the other one we sold out. And lastly the brother to the mother was the one I talked about in my previous post. So now we only have the female left!

somethink like this happen to a cat on tv they found a sewing needle in his throat so i think they should check there maybe something is stuck in there. and if the blood stopped maybe the object went down so i would give your cat congestion medicine.
