Evan was working on some files when the door opened and Daniel stormed in. He held a newspaper in his hand and walked towards Evan’s desk, where he put the paper down. Daniel didn’t have to explain what had gotten into him. The front page spoke for itself.
‘Elder couple found dead’
Evan browsed through the pages until he found the article. Daniel drummed with his fingers on his thy, impatiently waiting for Evan to finish. After a few minutes Evan closed the paper and leaned backwards. He went with his fingers through his hair, not sure what to do now.
“She killed her parents, Evan” Daniel said sharp. “You have to turn her in. Did you notice who wrote that article? She’ll keep digging until she knows everything. I can read the headlines already. ‘Attorney’s fiancée gets a free pass for murder’”
Evan rubbed his eyes tired. Daniel was right. Of course he now understood why Erin had wanted him to leave her alone with her parents. So she could kill them and then get away.
“I really thought she was innocent. That everyone else was wrong” he sighed disappointed.
“She’s not the girl you thought she was” Daniel said, pulling his shoulders. “Not anymore”

Since there was no way any of them was going to get any sleep, they packed their bags and loaded the Impala. Dean placed himself behind the wheel, Sam sat next to him and Meg on the backseat.
“First stop: Pontiac, Illinois” Dean said, as he started the engines and drove ahead. As they drove Dean turned on the radio to break the silence.
Meg stared out of the window. She felt utterly powerless. Had she still been a demon she would’ve just zapped herself to him. But then maybe she wouldn’t have felt this way and she wouldn’t even bother to go find him.
Maybe this was a sign. Maybe she was supposed to let go and go back to her old life.
No!, she reproached herself. You’re not going back to killing for fun. You didn’t get this far to throw it all away. You’re going to find Cas and get him back.
“Everything okay, there?” Dean asked.
“Yeah, I’m good” Meg replied with a mischievous smile.
