AUTHOR NOTE: I haven't written a Carlisle fan fic in literally forever I used to write under the username Team_Carlisle (long story don't ask please) but I had a case of writter's block so this is an attempt to get things flowing again...sorry if it's not the best....here we go!
I sat on the worn couch with my dad, Chief Charlie Swan, and my sister Isabella Marie Swan. Bells recently moved back with us after our mom remarried and shipped Bells up here with dad and me. We live in a sleepy little town known as Forks, Washington. My name is Emmalynn Violet Swan, I'm twenty-three, well as of tomorrow anyway. I own a quaint little flower shop down the street from the station.
"So what do you think of Forks so far little sis?"I asked as I ran my fingers through my wavy burgundy hair.
"It's...small."
"Smaller than Phoneix."I giggled at Dad's comment
"How was your first day?"
"Uhm, awkward, filled with people staring at the new girl pulling up in beat up ancient chevy truck."
"Thus being the point I don't envy you little one."I grinned
"Atleast I don't have the hots for the town doctor."She shot back with a smile. oh if you only knew Bells I thought sarcasticly.
FLASHBACK
I had been open maybe five minutes when he walked in. I swear I stopped breathing as I took in his muscular six foot two frame, honey gold hair and eyes to match.
"C-Can I help you with anything this morning Dr. Cullen?"Damn why am I stuttering?
"Good morning Miss. Emmalynn."melancholy clearly evident in his voice."I was wondering if by chance we could sit and chat for awhile, and have I not told you to call me Carlisle please?"he smiled shyly.
"Of course, and have I not told you to call me Emma?"I counter.
"True, my apologises."
"Can I get you anything?"I asked as I closed the door locking out the morning chill.
"No thank you."
"Mhm, so what's on your mind Carlisle?"I ask as I sat on my stool only after he was seated across from me.
"You are good friends'with my...wife yes?"
"Yes we're friends, may I ask what this is about Carlisle?" I asked not hiding my concern anymore.
"Has she ever mentioned a possible divorce?"
My god that's what this is about?! She truly is leaving him."Yes actually she told me she was considering during one of her weekly visits. Did she actually give you the papers?"He nodded,"Good god Carlisle I'm so sorry." I got up and went around the counter wrapping the poor man in my arms, and his arms went around my waist pulling me closer.
END FLASHBACK
"Emm, you in there?" Dad asked waving a hand infront of my face.
"Yeah, sorry I was thinking about something the other day."
"Oh, everything okay at the shop?"
"Oh yeah! Things are great at Haven, just an unexpected visitor."
He perked up,"Who was it? Not that Cullen kid again, I hope. 'Cause I really don't want to have to lock him up for badgering."
I laugh,"No dad it wasn't him, but it was a Cullen."
"Which one?" Bells spoke as she nearly tripped coming downstairs, poor uncorrdnated little sister.
"Dr. Cullen, actually." I blushed slightly.
A little while later I headed upstairs to the bedroom I now had to share with Bella, I curled up under my midnight blue bedspread and drifted off into a peaceful sleep and dreampt of a blonde haired man who secretly help my heart.
I was sitting in the back room at Haven working on an arrangement, when my phone ran.
"Hello, this is Emmalynn."
"Emm, I need you here at the hospital, Bella was in an accident." I hung up and ran out the door not locking it, hopped in my car and headed for the hospital. I ran into the hospital frantic I spotted Dad waiting for me.
"Dad, is...is she okay?!"
"Yeah, just shook up, come on."
He led me into the room where they had Bells, I let out a sigh in relief.
"Good god Bella you scared the hell out of me!" I wrapped my little sister in my arms.
"Sorry, Emm, I didn't mean to."
"I know, but the more important thing is that you're okay."
I stood with her in my arms while dad went to call Renee. I nearly choked on air when Carlisle walked through the door, Bella snickered. Carlisle smiled at me before getting down to the nitty-gritty. After pronounce Bells would live he walked us out.
"Emma, could I speak with you for a moment?"He asked softly.
"Sure, go on ahead Bella I'll meet you at home."
"Shall we?"He gestured to his office.
"Lead the way"
He put his hand on the small of my back, I was expecting my body to instinctivly pull away, but I didn't, I actually enjoyed the feeling of electricity flowing through my spine. He pulled me though the doorway closing it behind him.
"Please have a seat."
"So this situation seems rather familiar."I teased. Shoot me now please!
"Indeed, I never knew you had a sister."Blunt much there Doc.
"Yes, well I haven't seen her since Renee took her with down to Phoneix when I was fourteen."
"Oh I see, and Renee is your mother yes?"
I rolled my eyes,"If you can even call her that."
"I have an idea. Would you be interested in coming over for a while tomorrow evening?" Jaw meet lap.
"Didn't you just get a divorce?"I raised my eyebrow
"It was a long time coming, I'm afraid. Besides it was Alice's idea to invite you and Isabella both, however I personally find your company much more comforting." oh hell why not.
"I'd love to, would you mind if I brought Bell to meet Alice? She's not much of a people person and I want her to make friends."
He smiled,"Not at all. You're very motherly with her are you not?" his british accent was making me melt.
"I try to be want Renee wasn't."
"That makes sense."
"So what time would you like us over tomorrow?"
"Six?"
"Sounds good I will let Bella know."
"Perfect, oh and I would wear shoes you're comfortable walking in.that's just a tid-bit for you though."
"Alright."I gave him a curious look.
"It's a suprise."
"You are a strange man Dr. Carlisle Cullen."
"You have no idea."
With that we said our goodbyes and I recieved a kiss on the cheek. Blushing as bright as a fire truck I hurried back to the comfort of my midnight blue 2011 chevy malibu and headed home.

When we were done,I got up,picked out a movie,pressed play,and plopped back down on the couch.
Renesmee,who had not drank any blood all day,was in the kitchen getting herself a cup of blood.
Surprisingly she did not come back to the couch,she sat alone at the dining room table.
When she was done,she went to the bathroom.
When she was done,she came to me,kissed me and told me she was going to bed.
A few minutes after she was in bed,I turned off the movie,and walked to the white room,were I thought Renesmee would be,but she was not there,I went to the blue room,and found Renesmee in the bed.
I decided to lay down with her.
When I layed down she rolled over and cuddled into me,and I wrapped my arms around her and let her sleep.

As Carlisle passed me he whispered,"We have to get your parents to ground you from me."
I froze in place when he said this,how could he want to be seperated from me?
I thought he wanted to be by my side forever.
