Chapter 28:
As people were congratulating Kasey on his new job and asking him lots of questions, Felicia felt the need to slip away and go gather her thoughts. She was very excited for her brother but she was also feeling extremely down and didn't want him to feel upset during his most glorious moment. She would make him a cake later on, but right now she needed to go and be alone with her thoughts.
She walked through the school hallways. They were empty and bare, seemed like everyone was with Kasey congratulated him on his new job. Felicia didn't mind though, she needed the peace and quiet. She was rather relieved that the students weren't around her 24/7. The students were getting rather attached to Felicia and Felicia was getting attached to them. She didn't know how she was going to take it whenever she had to leave.
She continued to walk through the hallway, hearing the laughter from students from afar. She closed her eyes as she imagined how she used to laugh. She hadn't done much laughing lately, it seemed like she was sad all the time.
She then felt a tingling sensation in her body and felt a zap on her fingers.
“Ouch!” She mumbled.
She looked at her hand and saw that her fingers were turning different colors. She got alarmed and started running. She knew that she was getting better at controlling her powers but it was getting rather hard.
Felicia was a girl of emotion and it used to be impossible for her to control her crying. She had come a long way. She was very powerful and was unaware just how powerful she really was, but she had been controlling her powers pretty good lately.... she just didn't know how much she could keep all of this in.
She ran to the park in a panic. It was where she did most of her thinking. She looked around the park; luckily there wasn't very many people. She could sit there in peace. Maybe she could get a hold of herself and calm down. Last thing she needed was for her powers to go all out of wack.
She sat down by the trees, in a little corner. She was sure no one would notice her there. The grass wasn't wet and was rather comfy. She laid her head by the huge tree that was in front of her, how did she get so emotional? She hated feeling this way, it seems like ever since she moved here she was a bundle of emotions.
Her feelings for Li were stronger than ever, Tory was now in the picture and seemed perfect for her, she loved her teaching job but people could easily find out about Li and get her fired. She was torn and confused about the age difference and even more confused of his feelings towards her. That kiss that she had shared with him kept replaying in her head in instant replay and all she wanted to do was just find him and kiss him some more for hours at a time.
Also what was she going to do when the real teacher came back? She hated to say goodbye to her students, everyone felt like family to her. It felt like things were just falling apart. Kasey and Li’s fight still was vivid in her memory, also these new powers of hers, she didn't know how to take it. Did she even want to be magical? She kind of felt like a freak.
“Li, come on. I see a great spot over here.”
Felicia crept from behind the tree to see Meilin and Li walking through the park. Meilin was following the way while Li slouched over, taking his time.
Felicia frowned as she saw the two, she looked away quickly and grabbed her knees to her stomach.
Li suddenly stopped in his tracks. He looked around, he sensed Felicia’s aura.
“Li are you coming?” Meilin whined.
Li closed his eyes and looked over to the biggest tree on the left, his senses grew stronger. He then saw a piece of brown hair flowing in the distance. His cheeks started to fluster, Felicia was over there.
“Uh just a moment Meilin... I’m going to check something out.” Li shouted.
Meilin sighed and crossed her arms. “Well hurry up!” She complained, while setting up the picnic blanket on the grass.
Li didn't really care what Meilin said. He needed to see Felicia, he just needed too. He tiptoed where the big tree was and peeked over it. There he saw Felicia slumped down on the grass, looking out into the distance. She didn't look that happy.
Li stared at her hair as it blew in the wind. He gulped, that girl drove him crazy. He approached her quietly and tried not to startle her.
“Felicia?” He whispered.
Felicia jumped a tad and looked up to see Li staring down at her. Her stomach felt like it was doing flip flops and she felt another zap , only this time it was going though all her body.
“Owwwwwwww...” Felicia complained, she was now holding her stomach.
Li knelled down to her level.
“Hey, are you ok?”
Felicia looked up at him and Li was taken by shock. Her eyes were turning every color, fast and quick. It was like she was taking a seizer, the color of her skin was also turning rapid colors and they weren't stopping.
Li admittedly got to her side and picked her up.
“Felicia! Can you hear me?” Li shouted.
Felicia nodded but she was still going all out of wack. Li started to panic. He knew that she was taking some kind of attack. If it was the kind of attack he was thinking of, he knew just what to do. He grabbed her close to him, and said some magic words. In an instant they vanished.
“Li? Li... Hurry up! What is taking you so long?” Meilin asked, as she started to go look for him.

Meanwhile back at Kasey’s new classroom. Students were starting to leave. Kasey was pretty happy about his new job. He couldn't wait to get it all started. He would have to make a lesson plan whenever he got home. He couldn't believe that Madison and Sakura had made all of this possible for him. He must thank them, he already did millions of times but he felt like he needed to thank them both personally.
He looked over to Sakura who was talking with Chelsey and Zachery laughing. He wouldn’t disturb her right now. He looked over to the other side of the room to see Madison by herself packing her books into her bag. He couldn't help but feel a joint of butterflies form through his stomach. He was suddenly feeling rather confused about his feelings.
The other day whenever he and she had this big talk and just hung out together, it almost felt like they were meant to be. He shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. He erased that thought from his mind and began to walk towards her.
“Madison! I just want to thank you for all of this.” Kasey beamed.
Madison looked up and gave Kasey a heartwarming smile.
“Kasey, you out of all people deserve this more than anyone. I’m glad that I could do this for you. Sakura helped out as well.”
Kasey opened his arms out and gave her a huge hug. Madison was alarmed by the hug but she hugged back, compassionately. It seemed like they were in each other’s embrace for a very long time, neither of them wanted to let go.
“Well this is nice.” Madison giggled,
Kasey let go, his cheeks getting flustered.
“Yeah, sorry about that...”
“No need to be sorry.” Madison smiled, while touching his face.
Kasey could feel his heart start to thump. What was it about this girl that made him so flustered? Was it her good looks? Her amazing, genuine personality? or the fact that she complimented him all the time? He didn't really know, but at that moment he was craving another mysterious kiss from her.
Sakura was watching the two in the distance. She felt uneasy as she saw Madison touch Kasey’s face. They started to laugh with each other. Sakura looked down to the ground, Kasey hadn't really talked about him and her since their date and he was spending a lot of time with Madison lately. Maybe he was starting to like her. Sakura looked back at the two and they were heading her way. She shook her head quickly and tried to get out of her mind.
“Sakura! Thanks so much for everything!” Kasey beamed
Sakura forced a smile, as Kasey reached out for a hug.
“It’s no problem Kasey. You are going to have so much fun doing this.”
Kasey grinned at her, and then grinned at Madison. Sakura looked at both of them, they both looked so happy with each other. It was like they had their own secret code that she didn’t know about.
Sakura grabbed her back and smiled easily at the two. “Well I think I’m going to go home. I’m actually pretty tired. See you later guys.”
Madison and Kasey looked at her a bit confused.
“Uh, alright. Hope u feel better tomorrow Sakura. See you tomorrow!” Kasey exclaimed, waving to her. He felt kinda upset to see her go so early, but she hoped that she would get some rest. She was acting rather strange though.
Madison just smiled at her and waved. “See you tomorrow Sakura.”
Whenever Sakura was out of sight Madison didn’t waste the opportunity to go up to Kasey’s face and bat her pretty long eyelashes. “So Kasey...” She swished her long, black hair over her shoulder. “I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out again today.”
Kasey looked at her big, long, eyelashes and couldn't say no. “Of course, I would really like that.” Kasey smiled.
Madison grinned as Kasey’s helped her with her bag. Her cheeks turn a soft pink as he escorted her out of the classroom.
--
Sakura collapsed on her bed. She held her teddy bear close to her chest.
“Why must this happen?” She whined.
Sakura had gotten pretty close to Kasey since their date, she was sure Kasey had felt the same way as she did but now she wasn't sure. She rolled over on her side and closed her eyes. More than anything she just wanted him happy; if he wasn’t happy with her then maybe he could be happy with someone else. Maybe that was what love was, caring about the other person’s happiness.
“What is up with you kiddo?”
Sakura turned around to see Kero floating above her, looking at her rather concerned. Sakura groaned and put her hands over her ears.
“I don’t wanna talk about it Kero.” She mumbled.
Kero flew over and got in her face. “Sakura, you can tell me anything. You know that.”
Sakura opened her eyes to see Kero’s upset expression. She sighed and got up. She really didn’t want to tell Kero what was wrong. She felt like she had to keep this private.
She faintly smiled at Kero and patted him on the head. “Don’t worry Kero I’l be fine.”
Kero studied her closely. He knew that something was bothering her, but by the look on her face he knew he shouldn't bother her about it anymore.
“Well start smiling more would ya? Also you told me you’d bring me pudding from dinner! I still didn’t get any!” Kero complained.
Sakura groaned and threw a pillow at Kero. Just then there was a knock on the door.
“Hide!” Sakura whispered.
Kero flew underneath Sakura’s desk. The door opened and there stood her big brother Tory, with pudding in his hands.
“You left the dinner table so early, that you didn’t even eat your desert.” Tory said, concerned.
Sakura faked a smile and took the pudding away from her brother.
“Thanks Tory.”
Tory studied her closely. He walked over towards his sister and put his hand on her shoulder.
“Hey Squirt, you doing alright?”
Sakura shook her head quickly and nodded. “Yes , I’m fine.”
Tory sighed and rolled his eyes, he knew his sister was lying. He crossed his arms.
“Alright, but if that kid gives you anymore trouble ...”
“Tory! It’s not Li!” Sakura shouted, getting irritated.
Tory rolled his eyes once more and went back to the door he was about to close it whenever he thought of something..
“Hey squirt...”
Sakura crossed her arms. “What Tory?”
Tory scratched the back of his head and looked down the ground. “Erm... have you heard from Felicia lately? I haven’t seen her in a few days and I’ve been trying to contact her all day. We were supposed to go to the movies tomorrow night.”
Sakura’s frown turned into a worried expression. Where was Felicia anyways? To come to think of it, she didn’t see much of her today.
She put her hand on her chin and began to think.
“Sorry but I can’t recall talking to Felicia today.” She mumbled.
Tory looked a bit worried as his eyes shifted from side to side. Sakura gave him an encouraging smile.
“Don’t worry if I hear from her I will let you know.” Sakura stated.
Tory got red in the cheeks. “Thanks” he mumbled as he closed the door.
Sakura stared off at the door and couldn't help but smile. She knew her brother was really starting to like Felicia, she thought it was cute but in a way it worried her. She didn't want her brother hurt, and she didn't want Li hurt either. She brushed that thought away and went back to her bed.
“WHERE IS IT?”
Sakura fell over on the bed as Kero appeared from under the desk.
“Kero!”
“Where is it?! I’ve been waiting all day. Where is my pudding? I saw him come in with it!” Kero cried.
Sakura sighed as she went to her desk and handed the pudding that Tory had gave her to Kero.
“YAY! THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL! THANKS SAKURA!” Kero shouted, as he dug into the pudding.
Sakura couldn’t help but laugh.
--
Meanwhile at the Li residence, things were calming down. Luckily Li knew exactly what was happening. Felicia had tried to hold in her emotions for so long, that her powers overlapped her. He rushed her to his home, and he kept telling Felicia to take deep breaths, he had to chant some spells over her to make her still alarmed and awake, eventually she calmed down and she was now sleeping in his bed and she was back to normal. He didn’t budge; he just kept watching her sleep.
“Felicia, why do you do this to yourself?” He whispered, touching her forehead.
She was breathing heavily, but she was alright now. He couldn't help but gush at the sight of her sleeping; he thought she looked so innocent and sweet.
He kept touching her on the face lightly, tracing his fingers on her cheek bones. Her cheeks were so chubby, but it was what made her incredibly cute. He let out a sigh, thank god she was ok.
It was a good thing that Li didn’t panic because he knew that would have made things worse. Li was a very collected and serious person. He just knew what to do. How long was Felicia going to be like this? It was getting rather dangerous. She needed someone to guide her, to show her how to use and protect her powers properly.
“You need to be her teacher. You need to guide her and you’re the only one who can do it.”!
Kero’s words rang in his head. He didn't understand how he could be the one to teach her? He could have sworn Kasey was the one best suited for that but Kero insisted that he was the one chosen to do this, and it could only be him. Then again, I guess he knew all about what she was going through. Maybe he could teach her... but would she want him too?
Li got up from the bed and decided to go downstairs to get some more warm water and a towel to warm up her temperature. He stared at her for moments at a time. He didn’t want to leave her incass something happened.
He touched her hand and started to rub it gently, he never had contact with a girl like this before, but it just felt right. He leaned in and started whispering in her ear.
“I love you ... so much...”!
He sighed as he his eyes started to get teary eyed. It was easy to express his feelings to her whenever she was sleeping, but yet had a hard time telling her whenever she was present.
--
Meanwhile Kasey was very unaware of what his sister was going though and was just strolling on the streets with Madison. He kept looking at his phone. He was expecting a text from Felicia, but nothing. He was beginning to worry but he figured Felicia wanted a bit of independence so he shrugged it off and tried to keep his mind on the girl before him... Madison.
Yes she was indeed beautiful and had all the qualities he loved. He couldn't deny how close he had gotten to her and couldn't deny how he craved her mysterious kisses. At the same time though, he felt torn between her and Sakura. Sakura was the one he was supposed to love for many years, not Madison. He felt like it was more attraction with Madison then Love, but yet he didn’t want her to stop loving him anytime soon. He felt selfish, but Madison kept encouraging him to hangout and kept telling him it was ok to love to people. But in full honesty Madison just really wanted to spend every opportunity with Kasey, wanting him for himself but she’d never admit it to Kasey or Sakura.
“So what did you want to do today?” Kasey asked.
Madison smiled that sweet smile that drove Kasey nuts.
“Well I was thinking that we should celebrate! You know since you got your dream job.” She grinned.
She dragged him to this cute little store nearby. It was an ice-cream store. Kasey sure loved Ice-cream; he licked his lips as he got closer to the store.
“Ice-Cream my fav, how did u know?” He laughed.
Madison wicked at him.
“Oh I had a hunch, come on let’s go before they close.”
Madison dragged him inside. Whenever they reached inside Kasey looked around. It was a nice little store, it looked really cozy. There were sofas and couches for the guests to sit on and there wasn’t much people in at that moment.
Kasey looked at the menu. There was lots of Ice-cream to choose from. What could he possible choose? Luckily Madison seemed on top of that as well.
“Two Chocolate, Rocky Roads please,” She ordered.
She looked back to Kasey and whispered in his ear. “You’ll like it I promise.”
Kasey blushed as he heard her whisper in his ear. It sent shivers up his spine.
Madison got the Ice-cream and handed one of the cones over to Kasey. “Let’s go sit over there.” Madison said, while pointing to a cute little sofa.
Kasey followed Madison to the sofa, it looked tiny and only made for two. He felt Madison and He’s body touching as they sat beside each other. It was tight but so comfortable. He couldn’t help but feel heat as he felt her so close to him.
“Well go ahead, try it.” Madison giggled.
Kasey forced a smile and took a bite. “Wow, it is good. How do you always know what I like?” He was trying his best to not show how flustered he was. The Ice-cream was good yes but he honestly couldn’t stop staring at Madison and couldn’t get over how close he was to her.
She put her legs over his legs, making herself comfortable. Was this girl ever shy?
“I guess I just know what you like,” Madison wicked.
Kasey blushed and just stared at her. He ate his Ice-cream quickly, not really paying attention. Madison giggled as she saw that he had captured Chocolate Ice-cream all over his face. She started to lean in closer to him.
Kasey felt more heat between them.
“Like I said... I know what you like.” She whispered,
and with that she leaned in and kissed his lips. Their mouths full of chocolate. He could feel the sweet taste in her mouth, and the way she was kissing him was driving him crazy. He kissed back passionately and he wasn't planning on turning away anytime soon. He felt the kiss grow longer and soon he felt their body’s glued together. Just then Kasey realised that they were in a public place. He stopped kissing her and looked around, there wasn’t anyone watching but there were a few people around.
He let out a sigh, bit his lips and looked back up at Madison who was giggling. He wanted to continue kissing her, but he knew the display wasn’t really appropriate in public. Also what had just happened? Did they really just have a make out session?
Madison kissed Kasey’s stunned face.
“Sorry I get carried away sometimes.” She giggled.
Kasey just sat there, completely flustered. He wanted to say something to impress her, but he was a blushing mess.
Madison just smiled kindly and took his hand.
“Come on; let’s go get some fresh air.” She smiled.
Kasey smiled at her and the two left the Ice-Cream shop.
