All food tastes better while camping- it is a fact. I would have to say coals though, although I usually backpack, so I use a (lightweight) stove.

I usually cook on a Coleman campstove but sometimes cook over an open fire. There's nothing better than a hotdog, marshmallows, or hobo popcorn cooked over the fire.
