Cal walked into Gillian’s office and pressed up against the wall. Once he heard the familiar click of her high heels, he silenced his breathing and stood still. Gillian walked inside the room and looked at Cal. She jumped a bit.
“My God, you scared me,” Gillian breathed, holding a hand over her heart. She sat down at her desk and gazed up at him. Cal smiled back at her.
“Sorry love, couldn’t resist. What are you up to?” Cal asked, plopping down on her couch and propping his feet up on the small coffee table that was beside it.
