Buffy has an identificory appeal to young, heterosexual women (the shows core segment), in any case, the inclusion of lesbian subplot does not actually seem to reduce mainstream appeal or even to associate shows with 'minority' audiences. On the contrary, post 'lesbian-chic', it may even enhanced their popularity AND profitability.

So yes, it is pretty awesome. XD

Their connection was hot while it lasted. Faith always seemed bi to me and it was cool to see her bring it out in Buffy.

pfft they deny it we always find it ....even in the orginal script for enimies they were gonna kiss when Faith does the whole 'kill me you become me' bit....and in a interview forever ago Sarah admitted in graduation day part one when Eliza had the line 'Give us a kiss' on like the 100th take they were bored and so Sarah said 'Okay!' and jumped into Eliza's Arms and they kissed .....so no denying the Fuffy

There's a video on youtube of a 2011 Comic Con panel with Eliza where she says that Faith had a thing for Buffy. Also on youtube you can find an interview with one of the writers from Buffy saying that the lesbian "subtext" was on purpose. In the scene where Buffy wakes up and kisses Faith on the forehead, it was originally scripted that she kiss her on the mouth.

I totally dig it.

Faith can like anyone she wants. If that's Buffy, so what?
