I don't know. I would be fine with it if it had been more convincing, but it never really was to me and it made her hard to believe as a character. Once the stuttering mellowed, and she had a little more involvement with the group, she grew on me.

I think it was just how she was. Growing up with her family, I can see how she might have some insecurity problems.

she was well annoying. the only time i cared about Tara was when she died. that was sad but before and after that Tara was dry.

I think it was part of her character development. The stuttering is a form of her shyness and it slowly disapates as she grows into the group. There are also moments when Tara stands up for someone else and the stutter dissapears for a moment, making the statement that much stronger. At times the stutter could be annoying but overall I think it was endearing and worked well for her character developement. Tara began as a shy girl who felt out of place with her hair in her eyes and grew into a person who was able to make a hard decision to leave Willow in an attempt to force her to give up her overuse of Magicks. Tara develops into a strong character and the loss of the stutter is the manifistation of this change.

i wouldn't say it was cute but it was part of who she was, i know someone with a really bad stutter and i actually think amber was very believing, i also agree with my clone arabella about it standing out when she didn't
i think the writers used this character trait well

Some people can't help but stutter, it's really quite horrible of you to dislike a person based on something they can't help.
