He had to turn the page: First off, I agree with Nosemuffin on Spike being far better than Riley and I was happy that this cut off the ability to put them back together. Riley needed somebody between Buffy and the regular everyday sort of girl. Sam was just that - a sweet girl who takes charge and can take on a demon but still needs him to take care of her sometimes. Sam is like a potential, she's tough and strong but she isn't a slayer....plot bunny! posted over a year ago.
