While I love all the characters on this list- Spike & Joyce are my favorites. But I think that Spike, Joyce, Jenny, and Tara's deaths all served important purposes and allowed for some of the best story lines to develop.

Anya's death didn't seem to have AS much of a purpose as the other characters' deaths. There was some important reasoning behind her death (someone needed to die and it couldn't be one of the original scoobies, she had finally come to terms with being human and was willing to fight for whats right because thats what humans do...etc) but I think the show could have been just as great if she had lived (especially since her death didn't impact the show THAT MUCH since she died in the last episode).

I would've picked Spike, but those who've watched Angel know why I didn't :)

Also Jenny or Tara (I couldn't stand Kennedy... -_-).

But I missed Tara!! I HATED Kennedy!!

I agree with jemgrl: As much as I love Tara and Joyce, they actually had a reason for dying, whereas Anya's character was just a product of "shock-n-awe."

She got jipped. Sorry Joss, but his ticked me off. She got stuck protecting Andrew?! WTF, and then her body's just left in the rubble. No closure only Xander asking if anyone saw her. Still ticks me off. Anya deserved more than that.

Anya was AWESOME! She had the best lines and was a breath of fresh hair.

Spike didn't really die for me because he went to Angel season 5. So I was happy with that.
