	amazondebs picked Not All: although buffy and spike understand each other it's in a different way, they understand each by being on the outside and just 'seeing' one another faith and angel understand each because they have been through the same experiences i think any couple that works has to understand on another on some basic level so i wouldn't class that as having something in common i think the only thing the two couple have in common is ones a vampire and ones a slayer and even then it's different dynamics because faith is a rogue slayer and spike is a soulless vampire again making it different posted over a year ago.

	ArabellaElfie picked Not All: I hadn't really thought about the two relationships sharing anything until this pick. I can see the whole understanding thing, but I like to think that it's more of a sponsor support situation than what Buffy and Spike have. Faith and Angel seem to get along and connect because they see themselves in eachother. Yin and Yang sort of thing. Faith was light pulled to dark while Angel was darkness pulled to light. They want eachother to get through it all. On the Spike and Buffy front I think it was based in love on Spike's part and her ability to just "be" when she was around Spike. He understands her and she understands him. It's not done becuase they want the other one to prove to them it can work, that they can be a specific way, but because they just understand one another. Their relationship is based on that understanding and because it's not done to "be" a specific way, just accepting of one another, their relationship is able to grow beyond a support system. posted over a year ago.

Buffy and Spike really annoy me when they wallow in self pitty and are all like "why me?" but don't get me wrong i love the characters and understand they are both in difficult situations but sometimes they manage to depress me so much that i can't stand the sight of them. The tables really turned because i used to really like buffy and spike at the start, they were cool , spike was still spike and faith wreaked my head (when she went bad) and angel just depressed me. 	jemgrl323 picked Not All: definitely not the same at all! i may not be much of a spike/buffy fan...but at least what they had was some sort of relationship....what angel and faith had was not a relationship AT ALL! it was about 2 episodes on buffy and 1 episode on angel of them talking and angel helping her...buffy and spike were actually in a relationship. you can debate over whether it was love/obsession/fulfilling a void...but it was an actual relationship! posted over a year ago.
