definatley! mean there were a few good episodes and chosen was such a good idea and everything but it just i dunno lacked erm i think the word i'm looking for is passion
i mean spike and buffy were acting more like angel all woeful and broody and none of the potentials had any peronality and willow and kenedy just grrr it was all just a bit dark

seasons from worst to better for me:

=> season 1 => ik, so serious, and there is planty of bad taste!
=> season 2 => well, dramatic! serious! angel gets on my nerves...
=> season 3 => good, but still too white/black, good/bad
=> season 5 => I love this season, but riley and his stupîd problems, and Dawn, i HATE dawn!
=> season 7 => Very good season i love mostly everything, and andrew is so great.. the only thing i don't like is Alex and Any not being together xD its saaad
=> season 4 => Great season, nothing to say! so funny
=> season 6 => WAOUH!

i have to say my opinions are almost the complete opposite of yours atalante!

I hated season 4, with the exception of Hush (one of the best episodes ever!). I just couldn't stand Riley and was really glad when he left. Season 7 wasn't too great either. I found the potentials really annoying.

Season 6 bugged me because it had all the potential of being amazing and, instead, it took itself way too seriously and made all of the characters into whiny, self-centered brats (excluding Dawn who was already a whiny, self-centered brat).

Season 4 has the most episodes I skip and it has the episode I hate the most which is superstar.....It also has alot of good episodes like Hush and the yoko factor....I have nothing bad to say about the other seasons I love them all.

So, so poor. I always thought I liked Season 5 more than 4 too but after re-watching them both recently I've changed my mind coz man is Season 5 depressing...plus Riley and Dawn, how annoying are those two!?

Pretty close between 2 & 3 really, but I prefer Becoming to Graduation. If it wasn't for Kennedy and the highly irritating potentials I'd probably put 7 above 1...actually strike that, The Master is brilliant.

I know most people aren't down with season 7, and I get it, I guess I was just a succor for the whole girl power thing. And I felt that the resolution to the entire Buffy arc was really well handled.

Omg! How can you say Season SUCKed out of ALL of them. Come on. This is how it goes.

I'm a little fuzzy on this but my top three are right. The seasons with David are really and truly the best. Not because of Bangel (even though there is a little part of it) but because of the drama. The monsters. The characters. The action. Everything.

I found season 6 incredibly weak. Here are my worst to best :)

Season 6
Season 5--Dawn was soooooo annoying...and Buffy dies
season 7--Wood, Spike, and the potentials really bug me...and then there's Willow/Kennedy...
season 4--really tough to chose between this and season 7. Riley is such as pill...and Angel's gone.
season 1--This is a really good season. The monsters are good and the Master is amazing.
season 3--I loved the addition of Faith
season 2--my favorite. The spike/drusilla thing, the buffy/Angel/Angelus...this is definately the strongest season.

Season One (Worst. The only character I really liked in that season was Willow. Buffy was okay, but she didn't grow on me as a character until later seasons. I didn't start liking Angel as a character until the season one of Angel, though I adored him as Angelus.)
Season Four (I only liked the Spike arc. It just seemed like they could have done a lot with that season and the writers missed the mark.)
Season Three (Faith saved that season for me, and Willow and Oz's relationship was awesome, though I love Willow/Tara.)

Season Seven (Some aspects of it I liked, others not so much. The potentials annoyed me, but Spike with his soul was interesting, though I prefer him soulless. The church scene in Beneath You was brilliant.)
Season Six (Despite some bad episodes I thought it was a very strong season. It showed the darker aspects of every scoobies natures.)
Season Five (Great season. I thought every character was at their best, and they grayed the show up a bit. I find I prefer when a series shows the shades of gray instead of standard black and white.)
Season Two (The best season. Introduction of Spike and Drusilla, meeting Angelus.)

My worst to best:
season 6- I didn't like Buffy's charcter in this one. And yes, I realize it was because she was pulled out of heaven, but I just missed the old Buffy so much during this season.
season 4- The introduction of Riley. Enough said.
season 5- Ugh. Riley AND Dawn. While I hate Spuffy, I thought souless Spike's feeling for Buffy in the beginning were really funny. Like him dressing Harmony up as her and making a shrine.
season 7- I liked the story arc, but the potentials were really annoying. And souless Spike was better than the soulful one.
season 1- I loved this season because it was the beginning of the show, and everyone was so innocent. After you watch the entire series, its good to watch the old episodes again and see how much they've all changed. Plus, Buffy and Angel are so cute since the angst isn't that heavy yet compared to the later seasons.
season 3- Faith and Mayor are brilliant. I loved the season finale, where all the students join the fight.
season 2- Only season where I've liked all the episodes. Some episodes were weaker than others, but they were all good. Introduction of Spike and Drusilla, and we get to meet Angelus. The sword fight in the season finale is my favorite fight in the entire show.

I'm a Spuffy fan, but there was soo much sex! I mean really! Even SMG said that her character was being taken in a direction she didnt understand. She was too dark.
It's not that I didnt like season 6, but like season 1 was the first (obviously haha)so you have to cut them a little slack. and it was still good. Season 2 had Angelus, which works for me. Season 3 Faith and the Mayor, very entertaining. Season 4 was just plain good. Season 5 speaks for itself. And season 7 wasnt my favourite but it was still good

They were some great episodes in this season but out of them all it was my least fave :)

I only enjoyed/loved 4 and a half episodes. It was such a disappointment that when I went back to season 1 I found all of its episodes brilliant!

season 1 purely for the fact that it was only half the length of the others.

For sure!!!! W/ season 5 as second! Season 4 had some GREAT episodes which were really entertaining!

Season 4 - ignoring "Where The Wild Things Are + Superstar" <-- WTF were they about
Season 1 - its a little shorter than the other seasons :(
Season 3 - nothing really bad to say about it...
Season 7 - excluding the potentials (Kennedy mainly)
Season 5 - excluding Dawn and Riley incesent moaning

All of Buffy is awesome, its just the little things that get to me sometimes.

too many potentials /but I like 2 or 3 of them/, maybe the worst season for Giles, Kennedy instead of Tara /missed her/ for Willow and I don´t like The First. The best seasons for me: 4, 3 and 5.
