Do the fanfics have to be couple based or are they open to any central characters/themes?

Either way that best fits for you. I mean many users want to remake some epsiodes from both shows. Or the endings like Buffy was able save the world and Spike's life, others like Buffy's death of Season 5, something like that

Actually I think it'll be a big mix of ships, combined in a what I'm thinking would be a span of one season, or a little less. There's Spillow, Cangel, Spuffy, Bangel, Willara, but the couple I am most excited to write is Connor&Dawn (we need a ship name for them...Donnor? Cawn?).

Mine has Cangel (end of part two), Xander and Anya, Spuffy, (even though it's season 5, in my timeline, Riley fell off a 198 story building, then got pummeled by Adam, then got thrown onto the road and hit by a 1243 pound truck, to be carried 65 kilometres.) Willara, I'm thinking about Spillow, I'm thinking about Spidelia, (or is it Cordike?) Doyle didn't die in my one, because he's one of my favourite characters, so Doydelia, (or is is Cordyle?)

Well, now that we can use the comics, I can admit that I was thinking of doing a Spike/Illyria/Fred sort of thing with the events of Spike: After the Fall. But I don't know if I will or not... still deciding.

I could also do Spangel.
