Okay, fine. Leave it to Arabella to go out on this very tiny little branch and wave the flag of Spawn. I ship Spawn. There, I've said it. Not fot the rest of it - I ship Spawn but only under certain conditions. I believe that if Buffy had died in the sense of fully dead in season five that Spike would have remained with Dawn until she basicaly pushed him away and maybe a bit longer still. I don't see him ever leaving her, I see him lingering outside her house, watching her with her own lil bits, I see him as her constant protector and with that I also see him developing feelings for her.

Spike had said that he has a soft spot for Summers women and I've read fics of Spike with all three. I've read Spike and Joyce, I've read a ton of Spuffy and I've read Spawn. If you follow the entire Buffy is dead thing then you never have their falling out in season six and you have a fantastic premise for their relationship developments. You have Spike fighting with his feelings like he did slightly in season five because she is the sister of the woman he loved, you have Dawn thinking he is only attracted to her because she's Buffy sister and hey, made of Buffy. I just think there are so many different ways to play off this story that it's interesting.

Now for everybody who is going to go but he's so much older..blah blah blah. I simply want to point out the fact that pretty much everyone supports Spuffy or Bangel and the Bangel age difference makes the Spawn one tiny (unless you go with Dawn as a millions of years old ball of light).

Spike loved Buffy completely and Dawn is made of Buffy but at the same time her own person. We've seen Spike go the entire spectrum of emotions, so who's to say he can't fall deeply and romantically in love with his best friend (who I believe Dawn to be)?

Dawn has had a crush on Spike for the longest time and he is there for her, he protects her, he's stood up for her time and time again. She's the sister of the Slayer, a ball of energy, and a Hell God was after her...and Spike was there through it all and almost died to protect her. He stayed with her after Buffy died proving that while he was keeping his word he also had to have some feeling for her.

Spawn will always be a subject prone to argument, and I could and used to hop aboard the 'sister' bandwagon time and time again but I've so many fanfictions that are beautifully written, complex, and true to character that I could and do buy into this ship.

I'm not saying at all that it should happen, I'm saying it makes sense.

OK so as a connon romantic relation ship it couldn't of happened!! But (ok and I've been swayed by Katie's argument ^^) as a fannon relation ship I can see where people are coming from. I've read a couple of Spawn fiction a long time ago and yeah it was ok. WAY better than Buffy/Giles, now thats just strange!!! LOL

I love dawn and spike together even with buffy alive its good because of the whole jealousy thing they can go with.
also peopel who say the age thing is gross are stupid because most of them like buffy/angel buffy/spike and ther way older then her and if we go by dawns key age shes older then all of them.
plus dawn and spike are cute together. ;)

i love spike and buffy to much i like the relationship they have where he loves to protect her
