Haha, i guess but sometimes i think there is alittle, not alot though.

Just the fact that Lucas loved both Brooke and Peyton but Peyton will always be his true love.. and they will end up together.
Like Buffy, she loved both Spike and Angel but Angel will always come first in her heart.

I guess it depends though, if you like all four couples.

i looooooove bangel and brucas....but i don't really see the similarities- except that they have amazing chemistry and draw me in so im glued to the tv screen. but the couples and storylines between all 4 couples are sooo different--- and the vibes and feelings involved are sooo different

Bangel + Leyton = lame cheesy couples that make me want to vomit
Spuffy + Brucas = awesome couples with actual passion that are fun to watch.

I can't really see much similarity other than they're both love triangles. OTH is a typical teen drama. BTVs, while also containing teen characters and themes, is more supernatural/fantasy.
