Sometimes she annoyed the heck out of me, other times I thought she was ok.

I've said before, I think part of my problem with her was because she was originally meant to be younger and I don't think the writers adjusted when they hired an older actress. They wrote her in a way that would be acceptable for a ten year old, but seemed whiny from a teenager. Once they started writing her to suit her age she stopped annoying me.

She could be annoying at times, but what I like is what she brought to the show and how she interacted with the other characters. She made Buffy grow up a bit. And I love how she interacted with Spike and Tara. She added dimension to the characters around her. And I loved her story-line (being the key made human etc)

Just as she started to grow on me and I decided to give her a chance she kicked Buffy out of her own house and took my estimation of her right back to zero.

i love dawn! in season 5 she was annoying as heck, but then in s6 & 7 she totally grew on me. like the others said she was especially whiny in the beginning, but in the later seasons she grew up a bit. she got into research mode and helped the gang out more. and like fanfly said she interacted with some of the other characters nicely. spike, tara, xander...

I really like her. Sure, she's immature and petty at times...but then, so is Buffy. She's pretty much your average whiny, angsty teenager, haha. She ended up being pretty decent when she wasn't having a screaming fit or being a klepto :D
