no , but i think they would have made a lovely couple as giles loved buffy as a daughter and buffy loved giles as a dad , could have been a very happy familey .

no i think joyce needed giles to place the blame on him about buffy i think she still did that right to the end, can't blame her buffy's her little girl but i think because of that her and giles could have never been right

I did but then I didn't... I knew they were going to play around with the idea and they did a few times... but I knew they were never going to actually go through with it.

I never thought they would because season 2 he was with Jenny and season 3 she blamed him for everything.

I think it was set up so there was always a certain chemistry between the two but their main bonding was over the love for Buffy. In different circumstance, in a different show, I could see them together, but as Debs said, Joyce needs Giles to blame. He has to believe that Joyce will watch over her emotionally at home and Joyce has to have him to blame for her being in danger. It's a relationship that doesn't lend itself to a romantic relationship. Also, Jenny was brought in play off of Giles and by the time his mourning was pretty much done we weren't really home enough to pull Joyce in fully.

Can i just say i LOVED the episode that the "No" icon is from! Spike was absolute comedy gold in that ep!

SG1-090, I can't say I disagree. It's one of my fave eps from that season. he was hilarious. "oh god. me and dru killed a homeless man on that bench." XD

i have to say, i would have bet money on them getting together! they were two of my favorite characters and i cried so hard when she died. they would have made the perfect couple.
