I and many other people have theories about the Spuffy relationship but I have looked further into it re-watching every detail and hitting the fast forward and rewind buttons excessively to get all the info I need...
Anyone remember that moment in "Innocence" where Spike and Angelus are talking and Spike asks why Angelus won't just kill Buffy already and he says "To kill her you have to love her"? In "Becoming" where Spike and Buffy in a way join forces against Angelus to get Dru back he develops some feeling for her at least for a second she invited him into her home and in Lover's walk again they always had somekind of chemistrey but I think that it was just a phsyical relationship and in no way was there any love and I say that being a Bangel shipper but still no one can deny it...
Okay now I have that out of the way I wanna talk about a spuffy-centric episode - "Crush" where Drusilla is back in Sunnydale after splitting up with a chaos demon (she must be super desperate coz these guys do not sound pretty!) And is looking to get her boy back but Spike is involved with the vain, blonde, bimbo - Harm who loves her "Blondie Bear" but at the time Spike is 'in love' with Buffy...
Some moments around season seven time were more intimate than season six which was just repeated meaningless sex but at the time of season six (2002 yeah remember that time were people wore really wierd hats and leather pants?) Buffy was SUPER vunerable after being dragged out of heaven by her friends you see that all the times she is vulnerable Spike is there to 'get something' from Buffy I mean u know when Buffy got kicked out of her own house by her so called friends I mean I expected that loud-mouthed potential Kennedy and all her little play-puppies to go along with it but Willow and Xander were so out of line I got really mad but then Spike kicked the crap out of Faith which I enjoyed (I may have been watching a different fight as in others minds Faith kicked the crap out of Spike but please don't burst my bubble of joy :)
So the conclusion I have come to is.... drumroll please
HE LOVES THE CRAP OUTTA HER!!!
ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH THIS CAN ARGUE AS MUCH AS THEY WANT BUT THIS IS MY DECISION AT FIRST IN SEASON FIVE IT WAS LUST BUT IT DEVELOPED INTO LOVE IN LATER SEASONS THOUGH I DO ARGUE THAT BUFFY NEVER LOVED SPIKE AS YOU'VE GOTTA FACE IT THAT IS THE TRUTH BUFFY DOESN'T LOVE HIM NEVER WILL NEVER HAS....

also any Xillow shippers are super awesome I know I ship couples that don't really exsist but what can I say I'm awkward to hell with it :)
