Buffy the Vampire Slayer Question

Did you like Spike best when he was good or when he was bad ?

I liked Spike best in the earlier series of Buffy when he was with Drusilla and was bad, the characters worked really well together and they were fun. Later when he got his soul back and became good I found him too serious and quite boring.

Spike i loved with or without the soul, he was good person who turned evil and his chipped personality if you remember was still evil and he was funny. If you remember in angel he had soul and still was funny the way he loves someone is what made him great and when he got his soul back he was still living with the sins he had commited and trying to live with it but lets face it spike was just a great character and james marsters played him well.

I absolutaly agree, Spike was a kind gentle man when he was alive before he was turned into a vampire, and even though he was a vampire he still carried traits of emotions which still made him seem like human in a way, especially with his loyal and unconditional love to drusilla, I felt that even though his character was much more fun and interesting when he didn't have his soul, it was also interesting to explore the more humanistic side to his character, he was a completely different person than Angel when he was alive so its a good contrast I felt. Overall I think Spikes character in itself is when the show is at its best. Spike with or without the soul seems irrelevent

Much preferred him in season 4+ when he interacts with Buffy and the gang.
It really annoys me when people go "omg, Dru and Spike were perfect for each other", "Dru & Spike should have been endgame", or "I much prefer Dru and Spike", I just don't get that. Dru was extremely unfaithful which was just plain unfair to Spike, not to mention how Spike's proven to love Buffy a whole lot more which would just be unfair to Dru. How is that a good couple in anyway?
If Spike would have stayed an enemy he would have had to be killed off ages ago because for a start; Buffy has to kill the big bads, she wouldn't have let him go around killing people for years. And secondly his character wouldn't have gone anywhere, he'd of just been the baddy for ages and even that would get dull after a while, his character development from season 4 onwards was brilliant. When Spike got his soul he went from being a comic relief character to a champion.

I loved Spike when he was the Big Bad dating Dru, although I ship Spuffy hardcore. Spike was himself with Dru. He was evil and funny!

I loved Spike when he was evil and when he was good. I thought he was interesting and funny both ways. Also when he could be quite sweet to people he cared about (Dru in the earlier seasons and Dawn, Buffy and Joyce later on).
