He was excellent in The Assassination of Jesse James. He should have been nominated for an Oscar for that. He was also so funny in The Mexican and of course Mr and Mrs Smith. His performance in Legends of the Fall was one of the best ever, he broke my heart in that movie. And of course Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The scene where he's waiting for his daughter to be born and you can just see, all in his eyes, that he's terrified.
