Well the Celtics came up with a big victory Friday night as they crushed the Knicks in a 113-96 victory and also now have a 3-0 series lead. Rondo had a triple-double, Allen scored 32 points, and Pierce scored 38 points. On Sunday the Celtics will look for the sweep as they face off against the Knicks in game 4 at 3:30pm (ET). The Celtics are leading the series against the Knicks 2-0 after they defeated the Knicks again by executing in the last minutes of the game. If they win tonight they would have a 3-0 series lead, keep in mind that no team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit to win that series. So I guess you could say history is on the Celtics' side. Posted over a year ago

The Celtics ended their trip out west with a win over the Sacramento Kings, and last night the Celtics returned home and lost to the Dallas Mavericks 101-97, as Kendrick Perkins made his first start all season. Ray Allen is now only 6 three-pointers away from gaining the all-time record for three-pointers made. As of February 5, 2011, Reggie Miller is the all time record holder. Last night's game was a nail-biter for both teams, but the Celtics emerged victorious in the end. The Celtics got into early foul trouble but only one player fouled out, he was on the 76ers. Ray Allen led the scoring with 22 points, and Paul Pierce got 11 points. The Celtics' next game is their Christmas showdown on Saturday at the Orlando Magic. Jermaine O'Neal was not active in last night's game, but he is probable for Saturday's game. The Heat and Lakers are also facing each other Saturday. Posted over a year ago

The Celtics look to extend their winning streak to 14 in a row as they host Philadelphia tonight at 7:30 ET. Jermaine O'Neal may be active in tonights game if he feels up to it, if not he will likely return on Saturday in Orlando. He participated in practice, O'Neal hasn't played in a game since November 8. The Celtics are predicted to have a major edge in tonights game, if Jermaine O'Neal plays the chances are even better. Posted over a year ago

Due to the Celtics 88-99 win over the Pacers on Monday, the Celtics have extended their winning streak to 13. Paul Pierce had a triple-double with 18 points, Nate Robinson and Glen Davis also picked up 18 points. The Celtics look to extend their streak Wednesday as they face the Philadelphia 76ers at 07:30pm ET. By the way, the Celtics longest winning streak occurred in the 2008-2009 season as they won 19 in a row, it ended against the Lakers (of course). Posted over a year ago
