Well my favorite series is Harry Potter but since you read it... A Series of Unfortunate Events :P its pretty good, kind of for younger teens though. I liked it :)

and also " the hunger games" these are my favorite books so far, they are both about the future but they don't have so much science fiction. You'll love them, they are very exciting! I cried in both of them.

The Georgia Nicolson series are funny but I don't know if you'll like them or not. Give them a go, anyway:)

i would read Danger After Dark it is a mystery book i think you are going to like it, it is scary well not that scary but it is a fun book to read

Try Incarceron. It is amazing. It just came out so it's not popular, but it's amazing. I'd highly recommend it.

Inkheart series. Those are prety good fantasy books. It's my second fav after HP.

You HAVE to read "THE HUNGER GAMES" its a trilogy but the third book will be out on Aug 24 2010 so yea but anyways its soo goooooood!! You'll like it better than twilight if you have read it!

Definately the Cirque Du Freak books by Darren Shan.

It's about a boy who goes to a freak show with his friend and after the show, Darren steals this amazing performing spider named Madam Octa. While he has Octa, his friend comes over to play with her, and he gets bitten. Darren goes back to the Cirque and confronts the owner, who turns out to be a vampire. He said he'll only give Darren the antidote if he becomes his assistant. Darren agrees, and he saves his friend, fakes his death, and travels with the vampire and the freak show.

It's funny, spooky, original, intense, fun, and the vampires are original, but in a way that doesn't ruin the good vampire name.
