The scene opens with Commissioner Frank Regan getting ready for the graduation of his son, Jamie Regan. The newly graduated recruits march down to their seats and Frank gets up to talk to them. Meanwhile, a little girl is going home from school. Suddenly she is abducted by strangers in a white van. Frank comes out after congratulating the recruits and greats his children. They are all in law enforcement now. Officer Romano comes up and congratulates Jamie and says hello to his girlfriend, Sidney. Danny tells that he has to get going because he has a missing kid to find. He gets in the...

In this week's case, a series of sexual assaults on a college campus are traced back to an Argentine diplomat's son, whose father refuses to waive diplomatic immunity.

How the Reagans get around that diplomatic immunity and nail the jerk is impressive, and a commendable family effort. For once, everyone is on the same side. Everyone but Jamie's upper-class fiancé, that is.
