Brand New Set of ‘Big Hero 6′ Character Posters Unleashed! 

Thanks to the site jposters.com.ar, we have our first proper yet unofficial look at the six central characters from Disney’s upcoming animated feature

The new posters feature the final renders of all six characters, and while the posters themselves may not be officially revealed by Disney yet, the character designs are indeed final. Take a look at them below:

Looks like Disney has done a good job of adapting the comic book characters and giving them a broader appeal. It seems like every character has his or her own unique ability. We’re a bit confused about Fred, however. What exactly is he? And what does he look like as a human? Honey Lemon and Go Go Tomago look like they’ll be adding some girl power to the team. Especially notable are Go Go’s distinct Asian features. Also, Wasabi is actually African American, which means we’ll be having a diverse mix of ethnicities in the film. In short – we can’t wait.

the 54th animated feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios, takes us to the fictional city of San Fransokyo, where a team of inexperienced crime fighters must work together to save the city from  a criminal plot. Led by genius inventor Hiro Hamada and his robot Baymax, the group of college students join together to form the Big Hero 6 crime fighting team.

Am I the only one that thinks that from now on every Disney female lead character has to look almost exactly like Rapunzel? I mean, last year was Anna, an now we have Honey Lemon that looks exactly like her. I really hope I’m wrong and that the final look will differ a little

GoGo Tomago is a female lead who doesn’t look like Anna, Rapunzel or Elsa.

I think everyone looks fantastic! I hope the next trailer shows the whole team in action!

I love it! I love all the different ethnicities and all the designs look so cool! People who complain about Honey looking like Rapunzel, yes, she kind of does but these posters were leaked so she’ll probably look very different in the final film, I’ve seen some concept art where she looked very different from this (She had glasses etc.).

I think I saw some concept art where she had a red blazer over a black t-shirt, jeans, and glasses…

I’m kind of excited to see how Fred looks too.

I love they made Wasabi a moor.Honey does NOT look like Rapunzel to me.I don’t know but she just don’t.

I love these designs. Very stylized (anime-inspired, even) and in line with the combined Japanese/American superhero aesthetics.

Unfortunately, it seems like they still haven’t figured out how to design a unique female character:

(I’ll give them props for Gogo Tomago).

Still, these aren’t necessarily approved posters (even though they are definitely final renders), so it may be a while before we really know what she looks like (next month’s SDCC).

Also, I could tell these weren’t approved because Wasabi’s poster still has his full name, even though it’s been officially shortened.

Extra comment on Hiro’s armor: looks like somebody on the creative team loves Bubblegum Crisis, cause it looks awfully similar in design to Priss’s metal suit.
