Guy/Girl

HOW TO TELL IF GUYS LIKE GIRLS:

1. The guy will be nice to you.
2. He will tell you that you did well, even if you did horrible.
3. He might make fun of you.
4. He’ll want to be your friend.
5. He might compliment you on your hair, even if you wear it that way every day.
6. He'll stick up for you.
7. He will start hanging out with your friends.
8. He'll flirt with you.
9. He’ll call you for no good reason.
10. He'll make eye contact with a happy grin on his face.

HOW TO TELL IF GIRLS LIKE GUYS:

1. They always talk about the different varieties or guys.
2. They stare at you with a smile...

Yesterday I slept and I dreamed I was a princess
I dreamed of the power of an educated woman
in the times of knights
And I don't mean what we used to do: embroidery, singing or drawing
no, but to that ancient art that barely lingers between us now,
to make man believe that he is the one who take the reins
We didn't have the freedom to be indomitable, but we have been secret.
We domed the king with kisses and planned alliances and revenge in our beds.
In my dream, my mother, the Queen, taught me to be gentle, to appear submissive but to be daring in secret as far as God would allow me.
To play with my...

"The mystery of our time is the inability of decent people to get angry."-- Eric Hoffer

I'm going to ask you a question right now, and you can feel free to answer honestly. Do you consider yourself a feminist?

After reading the responses to _lina_'s link, I decided to remind everyone here, particularly women in the western world, what feminism today is really about.

Modern women in Europe and North America enjoy a multitude of freedom that often goes underappreciated. Women today are afraid to call themselves feminists because of the negative stereotypes associated with that word. Before I talk...

I admit I loved Disney Princesses as a little girl, I collected stickers and pictures of my favorites (Belle and Ariel and Cinderella) and have a lot of the movies.

But one curious thing I started to notice about Disney movies as I got older was that there were usually no mothers around, it was almost always a single dad and his daughter trying to get by. If there was a female adult, she was an awful stepmother or a wicked witch.

Here is a list of Disney movies (and many of these are based on folk tales and Grimm fairy tales, but they are the ones Disney seems to like to make movies of...) where...

A mothers whisper

In the night when your fast asleep.
Precious eyes closed…and in a beautiful dream.
You hear a whisper…a soft gental sound.
You smile…and laugh..nowing mother is around.
Trying not to wake up from this dream of yours.
It makes you feel safe….all nice and warm.
You feel a nice, soft, warm hand on your head.
Mother cries…..is she dead?
You try to move to tell her you’re alright.
But you cant move at all that night.
Mother sings me a beautiful ryme.
I try to wake up…its about time!
I wanna feel her warm imbrass.
Is it really way to late….
I see an angel up in the sky…
I see mother standing right by,
I walk to here and give her a hug.
Mother whispers…your in heaven my love(=

A long time ago, I wrote an article on link, and the misconceptions about not calling yourself a feminist. Since it was so long, I highly doubt that it was read by its target audience, so I'm going to keep this one very short.

I won't repeat myself on detailing all the different schools of feminist thought, especially because I doubt you're interested. Instead, let me just say this: Feminism is like many religions or philosophies. Just as one person who calls herself a Christian can have vastly different views and beliefs by another calling herself a Christian, the same can happen with feminism....

One Flaw In Women

By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth day of working overtime.
An angel appeared and said,
"Why are you spending so much time on this one?"
And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,
have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable
and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,
have a lap that can hold four children at one time,
have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart
-and she will do everything
with only two hands."

The angel was astounded at the requirements.
"Only two hands!?...

On the Privilege of Being a Woman

January 14, 1997
New York Catholic Forum Lecture
- Simone de Beauvoir, in The Second Sex, wrote that women hate their bodies. Women are physically weaker, less clever, have less power and prestige. For men, procreation is a moment of physical ecstasy, whereas women suffer the discomfort of pregnancy and the agony of childbirth.

- Feminism is a metaphysical revolt against the characteristics of women. Men seem to have all the advantages, and so feminists try to become a caricature of men.

- Historically, women have been looked down on....

This is mainly directed toward those who feel they are too small. I have no experiance with the other side of the issue.

I get somewhat annoyed and insulted when girls talk negatively about their small breast.
Girls wearing a size C think they're flat chested.. I always considered C to be large, but what do I know?

Girls cry over size B

Little girls saying "I'm worried about my body development. I'm 11 years old and I'm only a C cup"

I am small.. I've never come across anyone my age (20) of similar size or smaller than me and I'm not at all exaggerating. Everyone who I see complaining about their...

WOMAN'S PERFECT BREAKFAST

She's sitting at the table with her gourmet coffee.
Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box.
Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week.
Her boyfriend is on the cover of Playgirl.
And her husband is on the back of the milk carton.

WOMEN'S REVENGE

"Cash, check or charge?" I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet, I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse. "So, do you always carry your TV remote?" I asked. "No," she replied, "but my husband refused to come shopping with me, and I figured...

1.) Eat Chocolate. Chocolate helps you have less stress which will make you feel better when having PMS.

2.) Try not to act like you are having your Premenstrual Syndrome. Such as, walking like something is wrong with your pad/tampon. Act like you have nothing wrong with you and act natural. Then, no one will know.

3.) When coming back from school/work, go to bed. Laying down helps your period and lets it go more smoothly so you won't have a delay in your usual period time. It also helps you relax.

4.) Be careful to not jump so much. It'll make all the blood come out faster and it'll make you feel, a bit uncomfortable.

5.) Change your pad/tampon daily or hourly.

1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE.
"If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning."

2. My mother taught me RELIGION.
"You better pray that will come out of the carpet."

3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
"If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!"

4. My mother taught me LOGIC.
"Because I said so, that's why."

5. My mother taught me MORE LOGIC.
"If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the store with me."

6. My mother taught me FORESIGHT.

If I was given the choice I would still prefer to be a woman, I believe in equal rights however being a woman is a great thing, there's nothing like having a girls night in (or a girls night out) Watching chick flicks (no matter what age you are) being independent, as I have found since I am 'happily' divorced from my ten plus year marriage, now I'm enjoying being a woman more than ever. I can do what I like and being in charge of 'the remote' is great, I understand that 'some' people have experienced messy divorces or choose to be in a relationship, but I'm just happy to embrace my 'new life' and I'm loving it, it would be great to have a 'being single' spot (if there isn't one already)
Being a woman to me is:
Changing my hair color whenever I want.
Dressing up or being bummy and enjoying it.
Being feminine.
Watching a 'chick flick' with a glass of red wine and good quality chocolate.
And many, many other things that would take me forever to write.

Finding you! And your goal in life(=

You are you. You came into this world for a purpose, and god has a plan and goal for you to achieve in life. Sometimes though its hard to find that one thing that god has put you down on earth for. To find it you really need to look at yourself, and your dreams, goals, and what you love . Look at your talents. Growing up as a teenager, life is rough. There is soo much drama, and school, and pure pressure! You need to block that out of your life, and focas on what your going to do when your older, and your goal and purpose for being on earth. Because what...

My story. The life of me…….

Hey everyone My name is addi ( addisyn) but I just like addi. I am 16 years old and I was born on January 1. I have 9 other brothers and sisters. I also have an identical twin. My life is very complicated, and I desided to share it with others who would like to hear. When I was young, I was raised to be strong, and to work my hardest, and never to give up. I was in gymnastics at the age of 6, cheerleading at the age of 6, swimming when I was 14, karate when I was 9, and dance when I was around 7. This was the dream for me! I loved what I did! My mom was a stay...
