Keira The Popstar:
CHAPTER 4
"Crider!" Keira said, and ran to his cell. Suddenly something struck her, how were they going to get him out?
"Um . . . Nathaniel, how are we going to get Crider out?" Keira asked. She had a hairpin, but she knew, from experience, it didn't work.
"We could try these." He took out some keys from his pocket.
"Oh, Nathaniel, you little genius." She took the keys, and put them in the keyhole. Crider came out, and hugged her. He'd been in the terrible prison for a couple weeks, but he could still crush her in a hug.
"Hey . . . you're . . . crushing . . . me." Keira said.
"Sorry." He said, "I can't believe you actually came to free me, yey! Thanks you two crazy kids." He looked at Nathanial, "You are crazy, don't deny it. We all are."
"Come on," Keira said, "Before the guards realize you're gone." They ran out of the dungeons bumping into Tori.
"Where are you going?" Tori asked, when she saw Crider, she gasped.
"What's he doing out of jail." Tori said.
"Tori, look, this may sound crazy but Crider's innocent, and was forced to do what he did." Keira blurted out.
"He is?" Tori asked. She maybe naive, but she still knows how to doubt others.
"Yes." Keira said.
"And you know this how?" Liam asked, coming up behind Tori.
"He wrote me a letter." Keira said. Liam raised an eyebrow, not believing her in the slightest.
"I never liked this kid." Crider said, "Too judgmental."
"You tried to steal the magical crystal gardenias that powered Meribella." Liam said, exasperated and doubtful.
"Well, one, I was forced to do that. Two, I didn't know the plant powered all of gardenia. Three, and this has nothing to do with me stealing the gardenia, having your entire kingdom rely on a flower is stupid bordering idiotic and I mean that in a very caring way." Crider said, his last sentence would cut through any serious monarch's heart. Tori didn't qualify.
"I know right. Who's bright idea was it to power a kingdom by a gardenia." Tori said.
"Tori!" Liam said.
"What he's right, at least we know he's not crazy." Tori said.
"Thank-you." Crider exclaimed.
"And I for one have complete faith in Keira's judgement." Tori said. Liam shook his head.
"Tori, this is not going to end well." He said. Tori looked at him.
"Well, you can say 'I told you so' when it does end well, but right now I'm on Keira's side, though I don't completely trust Crider, I trust Keira. And I don't need your permission to help them." Tori said. She heard clapping behind her. Keira, Crider, and Nathaniel were clapping for her. Keira gestured to Tori.
"You see gentleman, that is why she is my best-friend." Keira said.
"I approve that was the most inspiring speech I've heard since Keira's world tour speech." Crider said, wiping a tear away from his eye.
"Oh, I remember that." Keira said.
"So do I." Tori said, "Oh, and Liam, please don't tell anyone about Crider or I'll make Keira talk about you in her next interview, and believe she does not think very highly of you."
"Yeah, I've got a list of your flaws. I'm adding close-minded and judgmental, and yes I am going to read it on my next interview." Keira said.
Tori nodded and smiled, "Wow you're evil, I'm finally rubbing off on you."
"Yeah, it's terrifying." Keira said. Tori noticed Liam's solemn expression.
"Look Liam," Tori sighed, "I love you and everything, but I have a feeling Keira's right."
"I know, and I respect that." Liam said, taking her hands. they heard crying behind them. When they turned around they saw Keira softly crying.
"Keira, why are you crying?" Tori asked, cocking her head to the side.
"Because I'm stuck in here with you people." Keira said, and left the room, all the while crying. She really wasn't a romantic.
