What kind of sea creature is Remo?

What kind of sea creature is Remo from the Barbie in A Mermaid Tale movies? I think he might be some kind of seahorse but I really don't know.

THEY ARE ADORABLE. <3 I love leafy sea dragons, and I love Remo. :} I was delighted to see one as a character...that's a first. ^_^ These guys are related to seahorses, in the same family...they have awesome natural camouflage, eh?

the thing is, if you see the blue and purple seahorses at the beginning of MT2, they don't look like Remo at all. thanks :)

Remo is special, like, you see, he was stylized as weak nerd who's following Eris everywhere. Those twoseahorses were just fans (also, Remo's from MT1, where the whole style was different).

Nope, he's a leafy sea dragon...which are related to seahorses. Same family. ;)
