I thought she was cute, and I love how Bambi was at first overwhelmed by her giggly and playful nature.

Faline in Bambi 2 version is better because she's so cute

She's always pretty. Especially when Bambi is a fawn and is drinking from the pond then he sees the reflection of a beautiful doe then looks back and forth at his own reflection and at hers then she laughs at him and he looks up and she batters her eyelashes. I love kind woman characters and that was the first time they showed one in Bambi so that was my favorite scene when I was little.

Both the actresses who played young and adult Faline in the original film passed away, so I think it’s fair game for it to be a tie. I certainly wouldn’t just stop at young Faline(even though I sometimes find fawn Faline to bright for me) though, adult Faline even had those romantic moments with Bambi, especially the “Looking for Romance” scene.

I like her as a fawn in the original film because she is portrayed as a mysterious, quiet, angelic fawn who finds Bambi endearing. A lot of people complain that she's too bright, but I think that only makes her prettier. I love how Bambi is shy of her and runs away from her. I also love how she plays hard to get when he's in the puddle. Typical woman. In the midquel she seems to have developed independence and a sarcastic streak, probably due to the loss of her father. We never get to see what happened to her father. As an adult she reclaims her sweet, kind, caring personality she had when she first met Bambi, but seems to have lost the energy and bubbly personality that made Bambi run away from her.
