who else was sad when bambi's mom got shot? and do you think it was an accident?

I think that the great prince was mortified, but didn't let his feelings show. I also think that the hunter did it on purpose, because humans are getting carried away with hunting

It was very sad! Bambi was the first Disney movie I ever saw and it was my first experience of watching something where a character died. I was three years old when I saw it and had never dealt with losing someone before, but when Bambi's father tried to explain to Bambi that his mother could no longer be with him, I remember trying to get that idea into my head and it shook me up when I really thought about it!

It's possible it could've been an accident (as in, the hunter might've been aiming for another animal or hadn't meant to pull the trigger at that moment) but they were still hunters and it's unlikely they would have had any sympathy for the animals even if it was an accident.

It is truly sad for most viewers but like in reality deers are killed for venison and that's pretty much why Bambi's mother was shot for. I never tried venison and I'll never want to.

Oh, of course I was sad! Funny, my parents never actually told me when I was younger. They said she hid in a bush. They eventually told me, though.

I don't think it was an accident at all. Those hunters are ruthless.
I love deer, so I'm completely against hunting.
