I don't mean to be rude. But that still makes him sound like a jerk. The typical 'only want what you can't have'.

..Well ok but every single one of us has made a mistake to take something for granted and then loose it and feel extreemly bad?It hasn't happened to me with real ppl but with things that are important to me and i think Mako also did the same mistake :(

It's just that I feel really bad for asami and Bolin. I like how they're relating avatar to reality to an older serious audience than the last airbender which was more for younger audiences. I love makorra regardless of their characters, I just can't help to feel sorry for asami and Bolin. :/ yeah a lot of people have problems with the storyline and chracters but it's life (my opinion)

He just made a mistake can only excuse so much. I didn't excuse how Korra had to tell him to comfort Asami when she lost her dad and it doesn't excuse that he didn't really even apologize.

I'm sorry, but these creators are making me really lose more respect for them, Mako, Korra, and Makorra in general.
These EXCUSES are ridiculous. Mako was confused? Korra is dealing with a real life problem? Pa-lease!!!
I'm sorry, but if Mako was so confused, he wouldn't have jumped on the Korra express so damn eagerly and cheated, because he still would have had some strong bond with Asami. The way the show was written definitely portrayed Mako as only wanting Korra, even though he had Asami, a loving and supportive gf. The writing doesn't make sense at all with these excuses.
Korra had to deal with a real life problem..........wtf is that!? Korra needed to learn not to be a backstabbing harlot. No offense to her, but she ONLY wanted Mako AFTER he was TAKEN. It's ridiculous. She hurt both Asami and Bolin and didn't even bother apologizing to Asami. And she got away with everything because she is the avatar. If Korra was truly "dealing with a real life problem," she would have acted like an ADULT and not given in to her lady urges. Korra was so immature and childish.......not to mention absolutely disrespectful to Asami and Bolin, but also to herself.

I don't agree with any of these and I think less of the creators now. Good job guys~! You should've listened to Janet telling you that fans wouldn't like Korra (and Mako) for being douchey.

bakes: Amen, I don't like the creators anymore and lost every ounce of respect I had for them. Frankly, I don't have any respect for half the LOK fandom, because they talk just like the creators do.
I don't know whether to call them idiots, clueless, or just lost all their creative ideas. Most likely all three. -_-

^ Me personally, I haven't lost respect for the fandom because people are going to like whatever they like and that's perfectly fine. I just hate that the creators are standing by such disgraceful behavior and are continuing to make excuses for everything that went down. I don't think it is right, and I just don't like how the creators have to stick up for Makorra because it is their pair of choice. We get it.....you like Makorra, but then the whole couple should have been written better and there shouldn't have been any cheating whatsoever. Don't excuse the shitty things they did.........have the characters own up to it. -___-

This is so stupid. I can't believe the creators did this. "Backing" up the actions of a cheater. LOK is based off of "real-life" alright, 'cause I can bend fire and my neighbor's Totoro. -____-. They shouldn't have backed the characters up but take that hate and learn from it, trying to make Book 2 a lot better then Book 1. Make the characters better, creators, try to win the ATLA fans back. Try?

......well then.....that's displeasing. I just hate the justification of their actions.....I don't really care if anyone likes the couple or the characters.
