I know I sort of made a poll about my favorite characters, but since I like typing unnecessarily long paragraphs, maybe artices are the best option for me. This is really one of my first articles ever, so please excuse my clunky writing.

5. Asami Sato
Even though I wasn't entirely interested with her at first, I ended up loving her by the end of the season. I admire her for her caring personality, as well as her independence. She treats people pretty fairly as well, not snapping at anyone unless she feels they deserve it. She doesn't really hold grudges, and is very mature- she doesn't go running off to join something she doesn't believe in because her boyfriend is being dishonest, or because her father is a part of it, she bares through it despite the fact that it hurts her- she gave it her all and asked for nothing in return. She's actually close to tied with my 4th favorite character, and it was a pain not to put her in that spot instead.

Just some thoughts on the old and the new Team Avatar. :)
************************************************************************************************************

The new series have recycled a lot of old characters (not meant in a bad way, they managed to include new ideas) and already in the first two episodes formation of new team has begun.
The new team members resemble the previous or at least carry on the same characteristcs that gAang (Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, *Zuko) had.

Korra - Being the Avatar, she is to her Team as Aang was to his; she carries the responsibility and duties that come with her powers. Her character however, is nothing like Aang's (her lack of spirituality is like Sokka's or Toph's) or any other character from the old Team for that matter, if I had to point to one it would be Zuko - they share destructive rage and impatience. She is also in the exactly opposite position than Aang was, she has mastered waterbending, earthbending and firebending and has yet to learn airbending.

For one, if you like Makorra, Mako, and Korra I would reccomend just clicking off this page unless you can respectfully handle my opinion. I'm not forcing you to read this, but if you chose to and get offended to yell at me because I warned you and you didn't listen. Anyhow I'm not typing this to be mean but to get my opinon out there.

Part 1: Makorrak

First of all I don't like Makorra because it reminds me of Zutara. I always hated Zutara (but that's another story). The fact that Makorra resembled Zutara was enough for me to distaste it before it even happened. But at that point I was willing to give it a shot.

Secondly, and this is a big one for me: Makorra is product of a cheating jerkbender and a man stealing jerkbender. I wouldn't hate Makorra quite so much had Mako actually talked to Asami instead of lying to her. She's a sweet girl, she would have understood, I seriously doubt she'd force Mako to stay with her against his will. But no, he took the cowardly way out and went behind her back after how nice she was to him. She sponsored him in the pro-bending tournaments and went against her own dad for him, and to do the right...

Legend of Korra series plot
“After the conclusion of the War, Aang and Zuko brought people from the four nations together and founded the United Republic, creating Republic City, a large "metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology" such as cars and motorcycles.”

I find it strange that Aang and Zuko decided to build a city, straight after the war.
Sozin started the war because he wanted the same thing right? (And to rule them all of course)
Why was Roku opposed to the idea anyway, Aang and Zuko thought it would be a good idea (‘they built their own city’)
Technically people in Republic city are living Sozin’s dream, right?
What are your thoughts?
( excuse the language/grammer , third English language speaker)

5. Opal

To be honest I'm not a huge Opal fan however I don think she's a pretty girl. She's only at 5 though because I think she's more cute than pretty. I think her eyes are really pretty, a nice shade of green. And I love her hair, I like short hair.

4. Eska

Much like I said in my top 5 prettiest Avatar girls; I have a thing for the darker more Gothic look. I love Eska's eyes, they are a very pretty shade of blue. I also love her blue makeup, blue is a great color. :3 Believe it or not I actually do really like how her makeup is styled in the above image, even though it's the product of crying her eyes out. I also like her face shape.

3. P'Li

First and foremost, this woman is the master of awesome hair styles; I love that straggly bun and I also love the crazy braids. P'Li is just downright unique in regards to looks. Like the other characters she has pretty eyes, I also love the shape of her lips. And dat forehead tattoo, talk about kick-butt.

Mako and Bolin saw Korra giving people their bending back from a distance.

"I can't believe so many people got their bending taken away from Amon",Mako said to Bolin while looking at his girlfriend as people bowed and thanked her.

"yeah, what I can't believe is that korra is giving all their bending back",Bolin said."

"Finally she's done",Mako said as he and Bolin walked to her.

"Ready to go?",Korra said happy that its all over.

"Yes",Mako and Bolin said at the same time ready to go to air temple island.

"Did you almost forget about me,avatar",a person behind them said.

"TAHNO!",Mako and Bolin said

"where were you?",Korra said walking over to Tahno.

"I was taken to the north pole but nobody could heal me.When I got back I heard you were giving people there bending back",Tahno said

Wait Korra are you actually going heal this guy?",Bolin asked.but Korra just nodded slowly wondering what is going on.

The whole Korrasami debate seems to be a hot topic amid the LoK fandom right now so I thought I'd give my input on it.

For starts, my major reason for liking Korrasami is that it is such a huge step in western animation. We finally have some LGTB representation in 'children's' media. And this isn't just some show with a small fanbase--the Avatar franchise is huge and widely popular--so for this show of all shows to have canon bisexuals is pretty cool in my opinion. I do understand that not everyone is comfortable with homosexuality but this is a pro-Korrasami article so I won't get into that.

I also feel as if Korrasami is not as out of nowhere as everyone says it is. In the first season they bonded whilst racing at the Sato mansion. They were both cheated on by Mako at least once. Asami would teach her how to drive. Asami was the one seen helping her the most when she was in the wheel chair; doing her hair and what not. In that time her hand was always on Korra's shoulder. They had loads of hand touch moments. That clips episode, crappy as it was, had her comforting Korra. In that three years that Korra was missing, Asami was really the only one...

Here are my reasons why I don't like Bolin and Eska together.

Reason 1

Bolin doesn't like Eska at all. You can tell pretty much tell all over his face lol

Reason 2

Eska treats Bolin like a slave not a boyfriend. I don't think she knows how to handle a boyfriend right. It's mean to treat him like a slave. And I don't like that in cartoon couples.

Reason 3

Bolin doesn't like her personality it seems. I think he would be better off with Asami. I'm sure Asami wouldn't treat him like Eska does. But if Asami is just a friend to him than he should be with a girl that is happy and bubbly. I'm sure he rather be with a girl like that then Eska.

I hope he breaks up with Eska. Because Bolin is not happy with her and I hope he gives the break up in a nice way and not a crappy way or she might kill him or something xD!

I know they are some people who like them together. But no there ship to me is a big no.

They both stop kissing. They both let go of their lips.

"Mako I haven't kissed you since at the Pro Bending Match. I really miss kissing you. But you were with Asami and I... but Mako cut her off.

"That's in the past. Asami is no longer the girl for me. I want you to forget Asami. Forget that I even dated her. I no longer have feelings for her. The only girl I have feelings for are you. Because I'm yours and your mine. So please be my girlfriend" Mako said with a smile on his face. Korra gasp to what he just said. She was very happy. She wanted to be his boyfriend for just a long time and it's finally come true. She was very happy indeed.

"Yes Mako. I love to be your girlfriend" Korra said while crying happy tears. Mako brush her tears with his finger. Mako pulled Korra close to him as he hugged her with love.

"I love you so much Mako" Korra said.

"I love you too" Mako said. There eyes met and when there eyes meet they came closer as their lips met. Korra blushed as their lips tough. She was falling in love with him. She did fall in love with him when he and Asami dated. But she is now more in love with him....

Air Temple Island

Everyone (except for Asami who is working on the sato mansion) was outside of korra's bedroom waiting to see if korra is okay.

"Daddy,is korra going to be okay?",Ikki asked tenzin while sitting next to jinora."Of course",Tenzin said trying to reassure everyone, after he said that three healers came out.

"Avatar Korra will be fine",one of the healers said as everyone sat down relived.

"What happened to her, then?",Pema asked suspicious.

"Giving so many people the bending caused a lot of pain to herself.Good thing she stopped when she did or else the consequences would have been very bad",the healer said.

"Is she going to be fine?",mako asked.

'Yes, korra can still walk and bend",the healer said

"So,she can still do that report in republic city?",Bolin asked.

"Yes,korra is awake",the healer said.

"Can we see her?",Jinora asked

"Of course. But Tenzin I must warn you that the white lotus will be here in two days",the healer said as he walked away from the group."oh no",tenzin said stroking his beard thinking of a plan.

Plot
Six months from the first book Korra and the rest of the new team avatar are in the southern pole.Korra goes through adventures in the spirit world and learns stories of the previous avatars and how the avatar linage began. With Aang's help she can become a legend.

Clothing
Obviously, they'll be wearing warmer clothing. But some people wear pretty unique chiz.Korra wears medium width snow clothes that fits her figure.Mako wears clothes in book 1 except wider and more coat-like,and so does Bolin.Asami wears womenly corperational clothes.Tenzin wears a robe looking coat, which is pretty clever.

With everything going on in this spot I kind of wanted to say a little something nice about the 4 main characters. While yeah it was harder for me to talk nicely about some characters I decided to dig deep and give it a try.

Part 1; What I Like about Each Character
Sato

Easy one first; I love Sato because she's sweet and kind no matter what. Despite being cheated on and lied to she stuck with the team and didn't turn to the dark side as part of some petty vengeance scheme. I love how she was generous in funding the Fireferrets and allowed them to stay in her mansion. I also admire her bravery and her willingness to do the right thing; it takes some serious balls to go against your own father. I love how she's a nonbender but she can still kick butt. That she learned to marshal an enemy weapon and use it for good. Thinking a bit to deeply--this goes to show there is good in every evil and evil in every good. That being said her ability to drive is impressive too; as someone who got so nervous on the test I failed it like thrice (to the point I hated driving) I found Sato to be kind of a role model. Believe it or not Sato was kind...

They had found Korra. She was on Naga. Tenzin and Lin wanted to talk to her how she got away but Mako stop them.

"Give her some space!" Mako called out as he picked Korra up.

"I was so worried. Are you alright?" Mako asked with a very worried look on his face.

"I'm fine. I'm glad your here" Korra said with a smile. Mako also smiled. Mako put her on Oggi.

"Your save now" Mako said as he brush her face with one of his hands. Meanwhile Korra was in her bedroom sleeping. She didn't look too good. She had some scraches on her body. Mako was in her bedroom. He sat in a chair next to her. He hold on to one of Korra's hands. Asami was standing by the door looking very upset. She was about to cry and she stop from trying to and walked out.

"I was so worried about you Korra. I'm so happy your ok. I have never felt like that for you before. I was losing my mind because I thought you were dead because we couldn't find you and when we found you. I almost lost it. I know your asleep right now. But Korra I... I love you" Mako said. Korra woke up and heard everything he said.

"As much as you drive me crazy. I also think your pretty amazing" Mako said.

Korra turn around. "So you do like me?" Korra asked.

"Yes! But I like Asami too. I don't know. Things are complicated. I just feel really confused and.... but before Mako could say anyhing else she ran up to him and kissed him.

Mako was shocked but then kissed back. A blush was on Korra's face as Mako was kissing her back. They both let go of their lips.

Mako looked at Korra shocked.

"Korra you kissed me. Why?" Mako asked.

"'I'm sorry but I couldn't help it. And you kissed me back you know" Korra said.

"I know. And I shouldn't have kissed you back. I'm dating Asami not you. Now i'm going to hurt her and I don't want to hurt her. Darn it Korra!" Mako yelled angry.

"She'll never know about it. I know you really love me and not that rich pretty stupid girl. I am the only one for you. I know it. I had fell in love with you since I meet you and I'm still in love with you. Please love me and not Asami" Korra said as tears fell down her face.

About this story:One powerful girl arrives to Republic City. The gang wants to discover who she is but Tenzin tries not to. A secret past, new couples, new enemies you'll see in this story.
DON'T JUDGE THIS CHAPTER UNTIL YOU READ THE OTHERS ;D

After the group has defeated Amon, everything went to normal; Korra had her bendings back thanks to Aang, Mako and Bolin are still competing at the pro-bending tournaments, Asami has taken control over her father's business and Tenzin is happy with the new arrival in his family, the baby Rohan.

But there's one thing they hadn't forgotten; they'll still were together the new Avatar gang. Now it was their job to protect the city from villains.

Far from Republic City there was in the ocean three big ships. In one of those ships had on board Bumi, youngest son of Avatar Aang. Moreover, accompanying him Iroh, grandson of Firelord Zuko. Assuming their positions, one as the son of a legendary avatar that changed the world and the other as the heir to the throne of his grandfather who was best friends with the air nomad avatar, it was their job to fight...

I'll admit I was skeptical of her when she first appeared. It wasn't that I didn't like but I felt like she had no character deveopment at all, we didn't really know anything about her and that made me not trust her.
In The Aftermath though when we find out it's her father who's an equalist and Asami stayed loyal to her friends, I really respected and admired her, since then she's been one of my favorite characters. And after that she continues to show how great a person she is.
Though I love Asami I definitely don't ship Masami in any way shape or form. I just thought that from the beginning their relationship was unbearably dull. I felt they didn't really click at all. And when Korra went missing and Asami found out everything, I didn't blame her one bit for how she felt. A lot of people critize her for that and it doesn't really make sense to me, she put aside her feelings and didn't confront Mako until Korra was safe, plenty of people wouldn't even do that.
What I think Asami needs to do after the finale is to leave Republic City and travel, maybe settle down in the Fire Nation with a certain General.(hehe) Seriously though even if she doesn't end up with...

The next morning, Korra spent her time with Pema and cleaning the house while her friends went into city. Korra didn't even acknowledge Mako at breakfast. Mako left with a guilty look on his face. Not only has he been lying to his girlfriend about his feelings for Korra and the kiss, he's been causing Korra pain and now has pushed her away. He just didn't know what to do. He fell for both girls. Each is special in their own way. Either one he chose he wouldn't be happy because there would be someone getting hurt, and Mako didn't want that.

Korra still has that stone look on her face. Pema has worried about her for quite some time. She notices her facial expression is because her crush and his girlfriend are now living with her, and intends to hide or push away her emotions. As Pema is washing a dish and Korra is stacking them away in the cupboard, Pema makes an attempt at a pep talk.

"[sigh] ya know, you keep the face up and it'll stay that way."Pema said nonchalantly not even looking at her. Korra doesn't respond and Pema is especially worried now. She drops her dish and rag and walks over to Korra.

Korra has been quiet silent for the past few weeks. Why? Because her not so secret crush, his brother and girlfriend are living with her. She knew it was the right thing to do to invite Asami as well, but she still couldn't help but be depressed knowing that after that incident at the Satos, it was obvious to her who Mako would pick. Asami is currently sharing a room with her since Ikki has been playing pranks on her for 'messing everything up in the name of love' or something. Jinora has just been giving her a cold stare. For her safety, I suggested see stay in my room. The boys stayed in Meelo's room, and by the sound of Bolin's screams, I think Meelo is making them feel at home.

Asami has been coming to me for some comfort when Mako wasn't around; I guess for some 'girl talk'. I guess if Asami wasn't dating the guy I'm crazy about we would be closer friends. I mean she's not evil, just annoying. I'm annoyed that she's so pretty, that she's so sweet, she's actually kinda cool, ya know for a racer, and a little edgy, but not to my standards. She seems all around perfect and I have to compete with that, scratch that I have to live with that. And to make it worse,...

Don't get me wrong, I did like the finale however there was one thing that annoyed me more than anything; that they didn't redeem Kuvira. Again, don't get me wrong her actions were not by any means in the right but I do think there was a lot of room for her to be redeemed. Sorry if this article is poorly written, I'm kind of watching Divergent as I type. :P

First and foremost, Kuvira, started out as a really good person. She, in the beginning was one of the people to help save Korra when the Red Lotus attacked Zhao Fu. She also saved Korra's father's life. My point is, she was good once, she could be so again. And in the final episode she had so much potential to do so.

Not only was she on the good side in the beginning. But when she set off to unite the Earth Kingdom, she did so with good intent. She wanted to protect the Earth Kingdom as a whole, where she felt that Su had abandoned them. In the beginning she had supplied peoples with food and other supply. Even to the end she firmly believed...she was convinced that she was doing the right thing. That she was just trying to protect her peoples. She didn't want them tossed aside like they meant nothing...

So quite a few people here seemed to hate season 4 episode 8. Whilst I agree that it wasn't the best, Bryke gave us a pretty good reason for that on their offical tumblr;

[i]In a couple hours the eighth chapter of Korra Book 4 will be released online, and I suppose, if you are none the wiser, a few minutes into it you will feel duped and yell at your screen, “Hey! This is a crummy clips episode!” And that is (almost) exactly what it is––except we all worked really hard to make sure at the very least it isn’t crummy. I’m here to explain why we ended up having to do one. Sometime around a year and a half ago we were similarly duped on a large scale. We got the news from the higher-ups that our Book 4 budget was getting slashed, almost to the tune of an entire episode’s budget. We had two options: 1) let go a significant number of crew members several weeks early, or 2) make a clips episode. We never considered the first option. We weren’t going to do that to our crew, and even if we were callous enough to do so, we never would have been able to finish the season without them. But having grown up on TV in the ’80s and ’90s, we all dread clips...

So in my last article I mentioned that I wanted to compare two of my favorite characters; Azula and Kuvira. And that's just what Imma do.

First and foremost they are both cunning and manipulative. The two of them share that crazy ability to just twist their words to make their will appeal to their opposers. In the way Azula got Ty-Lee to join her side, Kuvira was able to get that one small Earth village on her side.

Likewise both seem to have this large interest with politics and military. They both have very meticulous strategies as to how to take the next place. They both want dominance. The only difference is that Azula's intentions weren't born out of a good nature as Kuvira's were. Alongside this is the fact that they both took control over large Earth Kingdom powerhouses. They also both did so using said kingdom's very own military force. Kuvira rallied up a bunch of Zaofu citizens and set out as Azula found control of the Dai Lee.

Aside form political and military interests, Azula and Kuvira were both child prodigies. Ozai among others recognized Azula's vast firebending abilities. She mastered at least 14 (if I remember right)...

So I seem to have one of these for all of my favorite characters, and yet I haven't made one for these two. So I decided to type one up.

Kuvira

As always I will clear out the shallow reason first. Like many others I can very well appreciate physical beauty. To be rather honest, usually I start to appreciate my favorite character's physical appearance after they become my favorite. But with Kuvira, this was not the case. She just has such a beautiful and elegant face but all at once there is this sort of toughness to it. And she doesn't even really wear make up. I love her eye shape loads and their pretty shade of green. I also like the beauty mark under her eye, it's something unique to her. Also them eyebrows! That smug expression she always wears defiantly does her face justice. And her hair is is also amazing from that very first long braid to the up do to the messy lose hair. She's just very pretty.

Naturally there are many other things that have me loving Kuvira. One of which is that she's a strong powerful independent woman. I just love the badass female characters. She recognized at a young age that she had talent...

Avatar Aang was raised by monks, although the identity of his real parents was unknown. Being raised by monk Aang was taught about life and to respect it, the ways of the monks are ways of peace and meditation, Aang was already a master airbender before he found out he was the avatar, he learnt and mastered all four elements by the end of the summer. And all his masters were part of Team avatar(katara, toph, zuko). And he was just a kid. Monks are also spiritual people thats why it didn't take Aang along time to master going into the spirit world.
Well in Avatar Korra's case she mastered three elements(water, earth and fire) when she was about 4 years old. She was strong and powerful, even without her bending Avatar korra can still stand up to anyone. Like in book2:spirits where she defeated Unavaatu(unalaq and vaatu) she did it without her bending, even though it took her along time to master air and the ways of spirits. She is a water bender and not a monk so it is a normal thing for it to be difficult at first but now she mastered it all and we can say that avatar korra is a great heroine. Avatar Aang is a great hero, both of them are great even though they are so...

It smelled terribly of smoke. The eight year old didn’t quite know what was happening. She hated the smell of smoke.

She screamed out to her mother as the smoke twisted around her throat and filled her lungs. She was now coughing violently.

Her arms were numb, pinned beneath hot metal. It was funny and strange how it didn’t seem to hurt at all. Perhaps her mind was blocking the sensation?

She called out for her mother again and then her father. This time it was more of a shriek.

Why wasn’t anyone helping her? Why wasn’t anyone answering?

Blood. So much of it. Pouring down her forehead where the glass dug in. It formed a warm pool around her head and seemed to fill her ears.

Her head was spinning, ears ringing. And with a slight turn of her head, through blurry vision she could see feet scrambling by.

Screaming.

Crying.

Shouting.

The sound of a siren blaring—one of the newest Satomobile models. A model specially designed for the cops.

Korra (The Legend of Korra)
Hating on the Avatar, people? That could be dangerous for your physical well-being.
Selfish; doesn’t think about the consequences of her actions
Congratulations, bashers! You’ve identified a little thing called a character flaw. Everyone has them, fictional characters and real people alike. Those are things that are a part of a person’s personality, and are things that she needs to work through and keep under control.
Gets everything too easily (e.g., getting her bending restored)
That’s a flaw in the writing, not the character. And for that matter, I think that Mike and Bryan did pretty well with what they had. When Nickelodeon greenlit “The Legend of Korra,” they only gave Mike and Bryan twelve episodes to present a single story—meaning, they only had twelve twenty-minute episodes to present and resolve the Equalist conflict with as few plot holes as possible. They weren’t given the next fourteen episodes until well into development, at a point where it was far too late to change anything.
