Looking for the newest Aussie actress to watch-out for? Well, I think I’ve found her.

Opening at The Ensemble Theatre in Sydney on September 19th, you can catch actress Jennifer Corren starring in the new comedy “Camp.” For anyone who has ever gone camping, you’ll be able to relate to playwright Gary Baxter’s newest tale which chronicles three couples, a tribe of children, one black snake, and an esky full of beer.

Like many vacations, “Camp” starts out with the best of intensions but quickly deteriorates into a series of unpredictable encounters. Battling the elements, Jennifer portrays Julie, a bit of a control freak who thinks of herself as a natural leader and a problem solver amongst the group.

Directed by Ensemble’s own Artistic Director Mark Kilmurry, Jennifer is joined on-stage by Ben Ager, Michelle Doake, Jamie Oxenbould, Karen Pang and David Terry. Jennifer is proud to be part of the show, explaining “What a joy it is to be working on this wonderful project with so many talented people. The Ensemble Theatre is like a family that I feel proud to be called a part of now. After playing Julie and experiencing all the hilarious ‘CAMPING’ challenges we all face…actual camping will now be a walk in the park for me!”

Need more proof she’s the ‘real-deal’? Jennifer also stars as a part of a couple facing parenthood under a unique context in the indie short, “Kiana.” This character-driven film comes from writer/director Hallam Drury, along with cinematographer Andy Johnson and producer Luke Sheehan. Soon to hit the festival circuit but already earning attention, the film is a grant recipient of the 2012 Metro Screen Jumpstart program, one of Australia's most recognized film industry bodies.

Not convinced yet? Jennifer is certainly no stranger to indie audiences in Australia, previously earned high-praise and fans with her starring role in “Mosaic,” and her appearance in the suspense-thriller “Rapture.” Jennifer is also popping up in Aussie homes everywhere alongside Jennifer Hawkins in the new ad campaign for Foxtel. And, this fresh talent has trained with some of the best schools and coaches around the world.

With all of this on her side, I’m definitely convinced that actress Jennifer Corren is one hot Aussie to watch-out for.
Funny! This would be my luck...
