I don't think that religions themselves are inherently problematic, but its the way people use their religion. All of them have their fanatics who abuse their religions and use their beliefs to justify violence and discrimination.

Atheism means the link. Being an Atheist does NOT mean that you "hate" religion. Anti-theism is closer to hating religion, as anti-theists (in general) contest that religion is harmful to its believers.

So "for fuck sake" remember that we all have different beliefs here, even as Atheists and your opinion doesn't make you a better Atheist than me, just a different one.

My opinion stands: I don't think religion in itself is problematic, but the way people use it is.

@Charliepinkbabe, we will never reach understanding with an attitude like that! Christians married young girls throughout history, and the twin towers was caused by a minority of Islamists.

While it was obviously a terrible tragedy, the outpouring of violence towards innocent American Muslims made me really sad. Not that I was there...but from what I've read and learned.

It's hard to pick bcause all of them have done atroceties islam is the one that we all hear about the most but back in the day and even today in under developed countries, religions like Christianity or Judaism among others still practice some wierd and heinous

I hate Islam the religion, but most Muslims are really nice. I dislike Christians the most, but Christianity itself is not that bad. I like Buddhism the most, because it seems like the most peaceful religion out of the Big Five, (others being Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Hinduism) and most Buddhists I've met are actually Atheist. I don't know much Judaism, but I love Jewish men! Most Jews are secular!

i don't think any religion is bad.We have different beliefs and opinions.Some may not believe or like the same terms that each of us have.My religion of being Catholic has been insulted and made fun of,but it doesn't mean i'm gonna hate their religion.I get curious and see wut these ppl do and i strangely find it interesting and understand why they say wut they say about us...its just so different and new 2 them.I get it and I'm okay with it.But i don't think there is such a thing of a bad or worse religion.some ppl take their religion the wrong way and go overboard with things,still that doesn't mean other ppl will do wut other stupid ppl do.Anyway in my opinion there isn't a good,bad or right,and wrong religion.

I believe Christianity is the most dangerous religion, but only because it's the most widespread one, so it's practically everywhere in public media and life. Apart from that, any religion is potentialy dangerous. When people believe that they are serving a devine entity, they can do wonderful as well as awful things. Some of the most dreadful crimes in the world happened when someone thought that they have a "mission" or "duty" to cleanse the world from a certain category of people (terrorism, witch hunting, genocide etc) Religious criminals are the worst, because they think they're doing the right thing and consider themselves righteous and innocent, so they won't stop or have mercy on their victims.

If any of these were allowed to reign to the full extent of their teachings, it would be dystopic. Islam just happens to be the one with the most power at this point.

Perhaps this is me being biased; But I'm sure not many people here have been to Saudi Arabia.

This poll is based on a persons distorted view of religion, not any actual facts. One could argue that on a statistical level, its Christianity that's the issue. But statistics aren't facts, they're generalized assumptions.

Fact 1: All cults are religious, but not all religions are colts.
