I'm torn. On the one hand, she's the only one that seems to "get" Artemis and she's one of the very, very few people he trusts. She keeps him (mostly) in his place. They respect each other and, romantic feelings or not, they do generally care about each other.

The age thing does not bother me. It's not nearly as bad as Twilight (which the age difference between Bella and Edward is much greater than the difference between Holly and Arty. That didn't bother me, nor did it bother thousands of other people). Besides, humans date people older than them on a regular basis. Holly, if given allowance for being a fairy, is, what, 25? 26? Artemis is 16. It's ten years. Not that bad.

The species thing doesn't bother me much either. Then again, I love werewolf/human and vampire/human romance stories . . .

However, I don't think Holly and Arty are the type to "date." They are both very stoic and emotionally (more so Arty than Holly) hardened. I love the idea of the coupling, I just can't see it happening.

Ick, no. Even if we adjust Holly's age for the fact she's a fairy, she still has to be at LEAST in her mid-twenties, (she was a police OFFICER in the first book), and Artemis is 16.

Hurmph. I actually HATE the idea of A/H, and I rant about it to no end. After all, she's the human equivalent of 25 and he's 15. And they're not the same species, and I must say, Opal Deception totally sold me on H/T. Now THAT is a good couple.
As I always say, the real reason it's A/H and not H/A is because if you take out the /, it spells HA, as in, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! That's a good joke.

Hopefully! There isn't much competition (unless you count Minerva, who we haven't seen for a long time, and Trouble Kelp) and because of Artemis'... social awkwardness, it makes the whole idea a lot more interesting. And I think Eoin is setting it up, 'cause (spoiler if you haven't read the 7th book) he was writing about the whole cross species relationship thing in the AC. But it would be cool if Artemis got fairy hormone implanted in him that made him age like a fairy... so that the A/H thing could work out better. 阿泰米斯和Holly永远！

ok what i think should happen is that Holly and Artemis should alway like/love each other in the series but never officailly date. you know what i mean? for another kiss to be thrown into the series wouldnt be bad either. but definatley no dating between them. think how eird that'd be. especially for the rest of the charcters in the book.
