Show a little compassion, please (in Laurel's defense)

So, I get on this spot and I'm reading all this 'I'm starting to hate Laurel' crap. You guys say you understand that she misses Tommy. Well, then show a little understanding. It's not like he's away on a vacation. He's dead and she feels that it's her fault and she will have to live with that. She blamed the hood to feel just a little less guilty, because it's too much to bear on her own.
I do not approve of how Laurel blamed the hood, but I do understand. People say and do messed up things when they're grieving. Seriously, it's only been three episodes and you're already complaining. God forbid tragedy ever strikes down on any of you.
I will admit that I like Felicity better than Laurel, but I had to get this off my chest, because Laurel did not deserve all the hate.

Darkangel6 It's not that i hate her, i've never liked her character since the first episode.

tsmith120 She's bland, pointless and is poised to replace one of the most interesting female characters in the show for no reason other than her name. She was incredibly unlikable this season, her character change came out of nowhere and was handled very poorly, and I honestly hope she dies in her first outing as Black Canary, whenever that might be.

HaleyDewit She lost Tommy, and she felt guilty for his death. Maybe you can get over those kind of things without blinking, but apparently she can't. Slap her for being human.

tsmith120 ... I wasn't talking about that. I meant the whole coming out of her downward spiral and fall from grace for no real reason other than they seem to want her to join the Arrow team. Which is an idea I do not like in the least. Although, just because she was upset over Tommy's death doesn't give her the right to blame literally everyone but her for her problems. That's not being human, that's being pathetic.

HaleyDewit Well, let's hope that in season 3 the writers write her in such way everyone will like her.
