I, personally, think that L really deserves to at least stay in for the final five. He has a lot of depth, as a character, and is very eccentric, and full of surprises. Overall, he's a very well-written and uncommon kind of anime/manga character. :)

Wow! It's a tie in a tiebreaker! I seriously hope L loses this one though. He's not really that much of a good character. Kind of bores me anyways. Ed on the other hand is one of my favorite characters so obviously I don't want him out. We'll see though. Even if Ed gets out now,he'll be in the top ten!

I'm starting to wonder if that's the only reason people like Edward, so much, other than the fact that he is caring towards his family and those who need to be protected. Overall, I don't find him to be all that special. L, though, I could probably list over 30 traits from that make a good character. Still, it's only a matter of opinions, and it all depends on our own appeal.

Actually,Ed has a lot of good traits. From caring towards his family and friends,toward being loyal to them as well. He's kind and he's funny. Also he's smart. He's a well-rounded character that can develop as the series goes on. He holds more appeal to me than L. L,on the other hand just seems kind of dull. I mean a guy who sits in a weird pose,eats nothing but sweets and just solves cases doesn't really interest me much. He's not all that special and quite frankly he lacks development. Personally,I find his character boring but I guess it "was" good that he was in the first part.

See, I could also point out a lot more things about L than what you stated, but as I said, everyone's different personalities distinguish what appeals to them, themselves, so they may not notice things about characters who don't fit into their interest, in general. I think that L is a great and lovable character, and I don't care for Edward, and it is vice-versa, for you. Anything we say couldn't change our own tastes.

Question, when this is done and if it's tied again, are you going to do a re-tiebreaker or put them in R20.

@Illusion Agreed on that. It's fine just as long as we both don't insult one another for liking one of the two.

@NeoNightclaw19: I will probably just eliminate the character who appears on the top, in that case, to avoid another possible tie between them.

@egyptprincess7: Phew, at least you can also accept different opinions. There was another user who would never give me a break, if I disagreed with them. ;_;

@Illusion I don't see why the user did that. I mean it's YOUR opinion. Anyways,I am quite open-minded about other people's opinions and i take them into consideration. Even if I disagree with the opinion.

I know; it's not as if it'll change what I think! They actually did that to EVERYONE, acted like they owned Fanpop, and they were so nasty to other users, in general, that I eventually told an administrator about them, and they were suspended. This is a site for people with common interests to have fun interacting, in the first place.

I can say the same. Sometimes my opinion remains the same, but there are cases where someone's explanation can change my mind. Overall, I don't like to completely shoot down someone's own opinion, or persecute them for it *glares at that certain user*. :)

Same. I'm glad that you don't shoot someone's opinion or anything like that. I mean after all,it IS an opinion. Not a fact.

Gah! I wish they could both be in the top 5. I really adore both of them but, I'm sorry Ed, I just like L more ;_;

I never really liked him that much
