The Yaoi and some of the characters get a lot of attention. But there are also a LOT of characters in the show who get a lot of hate or don't get a lot of attention. Also some of the nut fans really ignore the history behind it, like not know anything about WWI or WWII. So it's kinda a mix of both.

Its a pretty good series. Thou maybe not good enough for all the hype it gets.

Overrated means people think it's good, but it really isn't. So diffenetly underrated to me.

I just named 10 different anime shows that are completely and absolutely superior to the piece of shit known as Hetalia in every single way, shape, and form (and I'm not even a fan of Dragon Ball).

Hetalia is an idea that looks good on paper... if you smoked the paper, afterward.

This might seem kinda biased but...I believe Hetalia deserves every ounce of love it gets. The whole series, is so incredibly well thought out, and creative. Really, who else would have came up with the idea of using people to represent countries and then to act out history? And the amount of historical references that go over everyone head I find so amazing. And despite there being over 50 characters, each one has a well thought out personality and is so unique compared to every other character....I just think with so much creativity and thought that it took to build this whole series, it really does deserve to be so popular.
