But there are so many really anime(s) here!,but I personally thought The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,was a really great anime (though Season 2 had the endless eight,while I personally loved it,and it created a background for the Movie the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya,and it didn't really show the exact same things over and they wore different outfits during that span..so),Detective Conan is an extremely long anime and I believe it's still going so that's not an anime someone could finish fast,even though it's really amazing..but some scenes can be quite bloody,Elfen Lied was amazing too,it really played with my emotions,and some parts I had to close my eyes for,but it was a really amazing anime! Angel Beats was great too,it was really sad!Shugo Chara! is a great anime too!..I suggest TMOHS,but the choice is yours,after all you'll be the one watching it!^^

Kuroshitsuji is personally my favourite out of the choices, but um, only if you don't mind deaths and fighting and action and random "Shinigami falls in love with Akuma" scenes ;)

WARNING: Kuroshitsuji II sucked. The first season was awesome, but my friends and I hated the second season.

Angel Beats is really amazing!!!

Kuroshitsuji is awesome... but it is two seasons where as Elfen Lied is only 12 episodes.

yeah i agree with gigglepud the second season was a bit of a fail.
watch Fruits basket as well it's an amazing anime.

It's the shortest I think? So go for this one, you could watch it all in a day xD

Angel Beats is amazing and it's only 13 episodes. I LOVE Elfen Lied, but I think Angel Beats beats it by far.

hands down, without a doubt; that show changed my life (and had a massive impact on my writing); and "School Rumble" is also an epic very unique series; never seen "Elfen Lied" but I will warn (the first episode at least) has nudity and alot of gore; "Black Butler" was ok'ish, but I found the last part of it distasteful; the rest, no comment (have not seen them)
