I try to keep the fanbase and the medium separate. My two favorite anime/manga are My Hero Academia and Naruto and their fanbases are the absolute worst. I wouldn't say they're as bad as the Steven Universe fandom, but they're bad.

I NEVER disliked and detested a certain thing just because of a toxic fanbase/community. Besides, you're not supposed to be judging things based on it's toxic fanbase/community. A toxic fanbase/community has absolutely nothing to do with their qualities.
