There's a much larger discrepancy between characters I love vs hate.

I am extremely critical of anime and its characters. I only have a handful that I actually consider good. After watching 200+ anime, I have only found around 30 to really be decent and original. There are less than 100 characters that I do not hate.

For reals, though, I find it very difficult for me to actually hate a character, even if I were to try. Idk, I think it's just my first inclination to give characters the benefit of the doubt or try understanding their situation and look at life through their eyes. That, and 'hate' has always been a very powerful word to me, not really a word I'd take lightly. Like, I mean there is 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 only one anime character for whom I would go as far as to say that I "hate". But of course, it goes without saying, to each their own.

^ To elaborate, I would never fling the word "hate" around in real life. By "hating" a character, I mean I hate the way they were written and constructed. :)

I find the concept of truly hating characters strange. If I don't like the way a character is written then I'm just indifferent to them, nothing more.

To be fair, there are also very few characters I can say I love, so maybe I'm just dead inside and I lean naturally towards indifference with everything. XD

^God, I wish I were more like you! Constantly having overwhelming emotions and mulling, obsessive tendencies is truly torture, believe me. I mean, every time I feel an emotion of any sort, it's 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 either to one extreme or the other, never somewhere in between.

^I do get obsessed with things, too, I just become obsessed with less things than most people lol
