My mom dislikes anime for the worst reason EVER. Back in 2012 when I was barely getting into anime my mom gave me this long lecture of LIES about anime. She thinks it's overly sexual + violent, while most anime isn't like that. There is a heavy load of clean anime out there. But mom doesn't listen!

But then I showed mom 5 Centimeters Per Second, and I don't regret it! Mom found it cute, and I'm so happy about that.

My mom thinks it as kind of unrealistic,silly and not educational nor good lesson for real life.I try to make her understand but mostly I get is cold response.She says anime is waste of time and money since it just for lazy or idiot person to watch it. (>w<) That kinda make me sad enough!

I wouldn't really know. I think she would have loved all the psychological anime like Death Note, she was really into that stuff XD But unfortunately she passed away before I even knew what anime was.

I'm not sure if she likes it completely, so I'll go with OK.

She doesn't dislike it or anything, I think she just sees it as a waste of time. She still mostly considers anime Western children's cartoons with no plot and doesn't see the appeal.

She likes the stories, but hates the art.

She likes anime movies like Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke, but she isn't fond of more bloody anime or any with darker themes.

My mother dislikes it.I have listened too many lectures for the same reasons.

She knows I like it, but she doesn't really care about anime.
