I am watching Brotherhood, but have never seen the original.

Is this really a debate? It's a masterpiece. The manga, 2003, and Brotherhood. Everything is perfection. However 2003 is my first love, so I consider it my favorite anime of all time. I'm glad to see people like @EgoMouse deciding to go back, and re-watch 2003 and actually finding some enjoyment out of it, and yes watch Brotherhood all the way it's great. That's really rare in the FMA community to find people who like the 2003 adaptation more, but I'm glad to see more people who don't just say, "2003 sucks balls because it didn't follow the manga. Brotherhood is better.". It feels good to not be considered alone in something you love.

Right though.
